Who has loyalty when offered a better job? Not many.

I don't get this "loyalty" business. I think some people confuse supporting a team with playing for it. Haven't you ever left a job for better prospects Nigel?

We don't know about the ones who have been offered a better job but decided to stay where they are through loyalty do we, we only know about the ones who leave. I suggest there may be more loyal peeps around than we know about
No problem with someone leaving a job for better prospects but someone who has left TWO, NEW jobs in the space of a few weeks would leave me thinking twice about them

Wasn't brown and Gillingham mutual consent? It may well be in that case gils gave brown no say in the matter.
Casting assumptions based on unknown facts is always a dodgy business.

I'd certainly ask them about it at interview if it came to it, timbo!
I suppose thinking about it a certain loyalty did once come into it. A town or city's football team would mainly consist of inhabitants of that place. They'd be loyal to their home town and its football team, just like us fans. And before that, it would be the workers in a factory or those connected with a church or athletics club or whatever. But now we're far more mobile than we used to be (not to mention the way money has changed the game) those days are long gone.

Yep loyalty long gone, but in Jason's case I think he would move on during a match

He is a professional footballer and if he gets offered something better and in familiar surroundings, is he going to say no?
I say good luck to the fella. He was fantastic when with us and I have no issues with his quick switch. We have a superb 'keeper now so why all the hand wringing? Nothing to do with us.

Yep brilliant keeper, shame he will not be playing between the sticks for someone, and of course I was joking, hence the smiley face
