Maidstone told us their pitch plays better when it is cooler and wetter, I assume that would apply to ours.

Too much rubber crumb and it plays like a waterlogged pitch. It happened to Andorra when I went out there to watch Wales play. It's quite a spectacle seeing crumb flying everywhere and balls dying on impact.
Ours seems spot on though and it looks beautiful and the players certainly seem more confident to try tricks and passes that they maybe wouldn't do on grass. I can only see it being an advantage to us on every level.

Interesting comment on the PA, a few people standing on the corner at the GGL end thought there'd been little improvement. A little adjustment required?

Oh. I thought it was much better! Obviously depends on where you're standing or sitting.

I was standing next to the one behind the Collingwood Road end as the half time whistle went and nearly had a little accident. It's literally about 30cm above your head there and incredibly loud. It's almost as bad at t'other end. However the sound around the ground(!)is brilliant. As bh said, a little adjustment required that's all.
