Can any type of footwear be used on the new artificial pitch, including standard football studs?

I don't think all boots are acceptable but I too would like some clarification

I don't want to get this wrong, so won't answer in full, but special footwear is not needed. Traditional moulded/screw-in studs are ideal. There will be some notices going up soon advising what footwear is recommended and any boot types that are not allowed.

I don't think you can use blades.

I'd ban blades on grass too, players that wear them seem to fall over all the time.

What exactly are "blades" in this context, some boots seem to have a combination of differing studs. BTW the last pair of boots I wore had a round toe cap and laced up to the ankle

A lot of boots these days have round studs at the front and the rectangular studs on the heel. Not shown on that pic but I am guessing they would be frowned upon?

Remember when football boots were black and footballs were white (except in snow of course). Will someone please tell all the nancy boys that their luminous yellow boots look as manly as a blue rinse.

Wow. Because the colours someone wears obviously dictate their worth as a man. Because anything that isn't considered the height of masculinity makes someone inferior, because if you're not masculine then that makes you almost as worthless as a woman! Hahahahaha!
But seriously, who cares what colour someone's boots are? What's the big deal? If it's not part of the kit then what players wear is their business.

Yeah, some boots these days only come in "fashionable" colours

OH, was that not PC? Im terribly sorry. Yes i do think less of players who wear silly coloured boots and Im not the only one.

I prefer multi-coloured boots. Certainly more interesting than the uniform dullness of black boots.
