Typical boring pre season friendly. I'd be very worried if I was a Welling fan!! We were ok I'd say, no better than that.

Not the most exciting match I have ever seen, Bolarinwa w as perhaps the most eye catching of those on display today. Defensively we did little wrong avoiding those odd errors which have so often cost us matches. Of the 2 sides we looked the most likely to score but in truth there was little goal month action to get the pulse racing. If you were pushed to pick the side that looked although it played in the National then it would have been U's.
Bromley next week will be interesting and should be a serious test for us, and it should provide one for them?

I didn't think it was as bad as all that. It was one of those games where two pretty well matched sides cancelled each other out. Not great news for welling but much better for us. It was a good yardstick foe us yesterday and we're looking so much more solid than last year.
Very impressed with my first look at ross s.

We had a positive post on the Welling forum: A bit worrying that Sutton looked the team more likely to score throughout the game. We defended reasonably well but there was little constructive play further forward and I can't remember us having a single clear cut chance in the 90 minutes.
I have never been a fan of artificial pitches but I have to say I was very impressed with Sutton's 3G. It appeared to be far superior to Maidstone's. If this is the standard which can now be produced I think many other clubs will be looking to see if they can afford to install them over the next few years.wellingunited.activeboard.com/t60599910/very-boring-commentary-on-sutton-siteif-anyone-wants-it/
