Seems Shaq has joined Tonbridge on a months loan. Is it just me that finds this a bit of an odd one?

Seems Shaq has joined Tonbridge on a months loan. Is it just me that finds this a bit of an odd one? The player used mostly in the position Shaq is most comfortable in is Ross Stearn, so I would say it's a good move to make sure Shaq stays match fit.

I'm not entirely surprised, but that's partly because I saw Steve McKimm at the game last night.

Sad to see from the official site that Glen Southam has today left the club citing business reasons for his departure.
I thank him for his service to the U's and his undoubted commitment over the time he's been with us.

I don't think I can put my exact reaction on here as it would not be considered 'family friendly'.
Certainly nothing against Glen's decision sounds like it is the best one for him and his family and he's been great for us, best of luck in the future.

OMFG!
Really sad to see us lose Glen, I wish him well in his new career, it has been fantastic for us, plays with heart and soul week in week out. he will be an asset to who ever he joins next.
As for us its like having our central nervous system ripped out, but thats the perils of NL football, and we will get over it.
Collins for me to step in and take the armband.

Good player but i'm not entirely sure that he fitted into the way Dos want's the team to play. As an attacking midfielder his goal per game ratio was poor but where he excelled was his passing. Will be interesting to see where he ends up and i wish him the best of luck in the future.

I think glen leaving will leave a massive gap in the team, but good luck to him and he always gave 100% .. I'm sure dos has already eyed up a replacement ... Come on you u's !!

I may be in the minority (including Dos) but am not fussed by this. Think we'll be better for it as a team and should also ensure our relationship with referees improves. Whilst here we have 'built' a side round him and results have been consistently poor. For sure I don't put that all on him, and it wouldn't be fair to do so, but he takes his share of the blame. That said I have no doubt he always gave it everything (which is all you can ask) and thank him for his efforts. Should free up a good piece of the budget to replace him.
