Time to move on after Monday's game? I won't be at Maidenhead, but will be hoping that the sense of injustice lingering after the Truro match will spur the players on to victory. Our recent record at York Road isn't great, and Maidenhead started this season well before losing at Bath on Tuesday. I'd expect a tight yet fairly open game.

Think the injuries are starting to hamper us at the moment, Amankwaah, Downer, McCallister and now Bolarinwa on the sidelines. Really weak bench for us today with Fitchett, Wright, Anderson, Strange (both development squad) and Shaw.
Hope we can pull out a result today.

Sadly couldn't make it this afternoon at Maidenhead. A third draw in a row for Sutton then - a fair outcome?

It was just too damn hot for football this afternoon. Fair play to all the players for playing at the match and while it was no classic, U's will be happy with a point after going down to Tarpey's traditional goal against us and then seeing Dundo equalise from a superb cross from Dan Wishart. The first half was arguably Dan's best for U's as he took on and regularly beat the normally solid Huggins.
The second half saw us toil for long periods and managed just two efforts on target, one a drop clearance from Ross Worner.
Ref did ok but did he really need to caution young Anderson because the lino had failed to be on the spot even though the sub was announced and the board up?

Yep, just too hot to play a decent game of football, can't really judge any performances based on today, although I agree Wishy hit the cross of the match for Dundo to score. For once the bounce favoured us and Dundo bought us deservedly level.
2nd half I thought we would kick on down the slope, but I think the heat just killed any thought of using the acres of space especially on the right hand side. If I am being critical we didn't hold the ball well enough after the break in midfield.
I like stats, but they can be looked at in different ways, 6pts from 5 matches isn't that good, but 5pts in 3 tough away games is a very respectable tally. 1pt from 2 home matches is why we are not top half tonight.
One thing I thought today was that Tuesday (edit - thx KBB 'Monday') may have had a effect on our tackling, I noticed a number of times players not really going in hard enough on 50/50s???

I doubt any other side has had as tough an opening to the season as we have. Good that we have gone away to 3 sides expected to be play off challengers and haven't been defeated. Hopefully we can remain so at another one next Monday. We now play at home 3 Sats in a row and 7 points out of 9 or better from them and we set ourselves up nicely. Should be a good crowd pushing 4 figures v Wealdstone though perhaps their start may have an impact on their travelling numbers.
