Like Sutton, Hemel have only won twice at home this season but have decent away form. That should favour us. I'd expect Dos to approach this match in much the same way as Stortford away in the last round.

I imagine Hemel will change the shape, personnel or both for this. If they play as last week they will more often than not lose fairly comfortably. I'd expect it to be much more competitive this week and would be surprised if it wasn't an odd goal victory or draw. Hope we can do it.

We need to stop their NO 2 attacking us down that right flank. He was the inspiration behind their comeback. He was allowed to go further & further forward.

I got it although the link didn't work for me. 1-1.
When was the last time a player was suspended for 3 games and he served his suspension against just one club?

Sutton and Hemel will be sick of the sight of each other by the final whistle on Monday night. That will be three meetings in ten days - and eight in two years! Today's was a patchy performance from Sutton, but a draw was the least we deserved on the balance of play. We started the brighter playing up the slope but failed to capitalise, although their keeper did well to tip away an Amankwaah header from a corner. Ross Worner had made a close-range save from Hawkins but otherwise had little to do until Potton stole in behind our defence and gave Hemel the lead with an angled, rising shot. After that we looked rather ragged, and didn't really improve for the first 15-20 minutes of the second half even with the advantage of the slope. Then we won possession out on our right, the ball was played crossfield via McAllister to Stearn, and the little fella found space to arrow in the equaliser, his first competitive Sutton goal. Goals change games and our energy levels then went up and we really should have scored a second. But as the game entered the final ten minutes it began to look as if both sides were settling for a replay, though Worner had to make a stoppage-time save with his legs to ensure the tie comes back to GGL.

A very different match to last week's. Hemel changed their back four and started with the two guys who came off the bench last week and they looked more assured at the back and more of a threat up front as a result.
U's struggled in the first half defending the bottom end and both Ross Stearn and Tom Bolarinwa were often spectators. Even so, chances were few and far between before the two subs from last week combined to set up Potton for Hemel's opener.
There was one incident late in the half that would have stuck in the throat even more had their no 2 scored in the last minute of the match. His challenge on Tom B was a red card because it was not a trip nor a tackle it was blatantly kicking an opponent and that is serious foul play. That aside, the ref did ok today.
Second half both Tom and Ross became more of a threat and from a cross field ball that he just controlled, the latter cut in and fired a thumping shot into the top corner. A very opportune moment to register his first goal for the club.
After that both sides had chances but failed to test the 'keepers until the last minute (about 6 mins over not the announced 4) when no 2 (Herd, I think) got in on the end of a cross and saw hi low shot brilliantly saved by Ross Worner.
Two evenly matched sides head back to the 'Lane for Monday's replay. Best start practicing pens.

A decent day out spoilt somewhat by some random bloke squaring up to me as we left the ground - all in front of his 6 year old son! Felt sorry for the poor kid

I don't think we were at the races in the 1st half, although surely their No2 had to walk for his cynical almost last man 'hack'? If Si sees red for last week then its has to be a nailed on early bath?
Second half we were much better, although never dominant we carried a much greater threat, Tom, and Ross suddenly awoke to give us width. Ross's goal riffled home came from a simple 2 steps inside the defender before dispatching the missile into the top corner. From then on we probably rushed chances that maybe with a bit more thought might have seen us through today.
Having said that the long punt up field seemed to cause us problems all afternoon, and if not for another Ross may have caught us out at the end. 1-1 probably about right.
