......I have no doubt that the team will have put to one side the disappointment of last week, after all they played some attractive football until the final third. Tomorrows game will be tight, both teams looking to improve their chances of a play off place. Eastbourne could well have to Ex U's players in their squad Kane and McCullum to spice it up a little. DOS has made it plain that is looking forward to the opportunity of managing in the Conference, so the players could make him a happy man with 3 points.

Another fine performance from the team today. However if you don't put away your chances you won't win many games.

We should have won. Missed three great chances and they never extended Worms.
This was a strong performance but without the end product. They will be far happier with the point.
Should have had a late pen when Tommy was pulled back and the ref had a full view. Indicative of the ref's second half performance where we got very little change out of him. Still, shouldn't be relying on decisions.
Onto Oxford who will provide stiff opposition but if we can reproduce today's performance with more than one goal to show for it, we have nothing to fear.

I thought our midfield was brilliant again today, Tom is a star in the making, but like last week we really do lack that final ball. We hit the woodwork again today that makes it 15 for the season which is high by anyone's account. We seem to have only one player who can delivery a good dead ball, Fleets corners were causing the Eastbourne defence all sorts of trouble when he came on.
Eastbourne had one tactic to hit the ball long, something we should be able to deal with yet even a desperate clearance from the home keeper has us reaching for the panic button. We certainly had plenty of warnings about where a goal was coming from for them but didn't head them and paid the price.
We were back down to NS quality officials today, probably just making decisions up in the end. Not sure if we should have had a pen as it was on the far side from me, but there was certainly a tug back on one of ours when through in the dying moments of the game.
A point away from home is OK, but you feel we got a Ferrari running like an Austin Maestro at present.

I suppose it's a sign of progress over the last few seasons that we're disappointed to come away from Priory Lane with only one point. Apart from a spell early in the second half, when Eastbourne equalised, we dominated this match, but frustratingly failed to add to Tom Bolarinwa's first-half goal, a cute finish after he initially appeared to have lost the ball.
We piled on the pressure in the last quarter, with one header disallowed for offside, a couple of efforts just the wrong side of the post and one very good save from the home keeper, but the winning goal just wouldn't come.
With a third of the league season now gone, we're still in mid-table (9th). We are within sight of the play-off places but to shift up into the top five we really need to string two or three league wins together, something we haven't yet managed this season.

22 appearances for Stuart Fleetwood with only one goal to show for it is not good enough.Lets hope he comes good soon !

22 appearances for Stuart Fleetwood with only one goal to show for it is not good enough.Lets hope he comes good soon ! I'd take that stat with a pinch of salt as almost all of his appearances have been off the bench and not as the out-and-out striker making it harder to settle into a game and get a goal. But obviously as an attacking player, he'll want to end the drought.

22 appearances for Stuart Fleetwood with only one goal to show for it is not good enough.Lets hope he comes good soon ! That's a shockingly bad use of stats. Most of those 22 games have been as substitute and usually to replace one of the wingers. Plus of course your 22 games includes friendlies. Lazy criticism at it's best. You may as well say that about beckwith or spence.

Don't believe he has scored a league goal in calendar year 2015.

Don't believe he has scored a league goal in calendar year 2015. The number of times i have been very very close to writing a response to people's criticisms of Fleetwood and would have had I been able to keep my frustration and disappointment in kind words (hopefully this time I will), everything that Andy said mirrors my feelings precisely, he has not been given a run in the team playing in the role of a striker, he is being played out of position just as he has been at his previous two clubs and that is something that I am struggling to understand as i am sure in his first interview after joining us he said he was happy that he would have the chance to play as a striker again. That being said I still don't think we can take much away from him, his workrate is outstanding and he is regularly one of our top performers even if he only features for 15-20 minutes purely because of that. As far as I can tell the only statistic that really counts against him is his 1 goal, Craig McAllister took a while to score despite being given what Fleetwood has not (the aforementioned run as a striker) and since his first goal he has scored with some regularity and is also one of our top performers on a regular basis. Fleetwood has not had the ability to do similar after his first goal (which to be fair was in a friendly so plenty gets changed during pre season game by game and runs in the side are rare) for the reasons I have already stated. Of course this is just my opinion and I guess I may be taking his reputation into account forming some bias as a result but I doubt I would be the only person who thinks this way.
