Bizarrely we go into the hat for the second round draw later this morning (despite having a lot of work to do) which I've read now becomes nationalised.
Some eye-catching results from Saturday with Havant knocking out Forest Green, Maidstone losing at home to Bognor and Eastbourne beating Hemel 7-4!

Funny to think that despite being in the draw, we have to win TWO games to play whoever it is!
By the way, according to the FA website, the winners of our match v concord will play Lowestoft on Tuesday 5 January. I'm guessing that could possibly change to the Monday if it's us.

Home to Curzon or Nuneaton should we beat Concord and Lowestoft

They replay tonight. I hope it's Curzon Ashton. I haven't seen them before. Nuneaton are top of the Conference North - I'm not sure we want to tangle with them!
Edit: Actually, I say replay, but I don't think it is because it was originally postponed.

Er, Concord and Lowestoft to get past first, not sure consideration of anything further than the Concord match is relevant as yet.

The Concord game is an interesting one with both sides having recently beat each other. A large part of it could be psychological - we could do with a decent sized turnout and good vocal support so that the game doesn't seem like a non-event for the team when out on the pitch. At our own ground we should be confident but Concord won't roll over.

With regards to the trophy at least all minds should just be on the replay against Concord. However Curzon have just beaten Nuneaton so that part of the draw is sorted.

So, three winnable home ties for a place in the last 16. Sounds simple, but I'm sure Concord and Lowestoft fans will be looking at Nuneaton's exit as a big opportunity as well.

So that means in that draw its 4th v 11th in Conf South will then play 17th in the conf North and then will play 9th in the Conf North. Although there isn't much in it we're there highest ranked side in that draw. I think we know all there is to know about Concord (and covered elsewhere many times on this forum). We know a little about Lowestoft - mainly Micky Spillaine and BWG are there. Don't know much about Curzon apart from this season is the first time they've played at our level, they beat Exeter once in the FA Cup and play in Manchester....anyone care to elaborate?

Apart from some league/county cup competitions, I've never known a situation where we've known our next THREE potential opponents in a cup are (OK, one of them is an "or" situation, but still)

Pretty much how I would have summarised my limited knowledge of them. From the Ashton-under-Lyne area of Manchester they seem to be holding their own ok in the National League North this season. According to wiki they ground-shared recently with FC United (before they got their own ground).

One match at a time for me, Concord won't roll over for us.

I agree with the one game at a time sentiment but this is rather a unique set of circumstances where not only do we know our next opponents if we win, but the ones after that if we win that. Plus the fact it's actually different sides. I can't imagine anyone would be talking about the next two rounds if we'd draw Bishop Stortford and Hemel!
