I don't know about issues from past but i concur with the thoughts above about coming together and getting behind our team.
Dos wants it, The players need it.
I've said it since returning this season that the boys switch off when ahead in the quiet surroundings and teams get back into games because of it.
Lets be honest these lads are playing really well. Imagine how good they could play with us singing and roaring them on.

I'm not sure about the singing but I guess I could try roaring a bit...

Let people watch the game how they want.
You are your mates are doing a great job creating an atmosphere.

Yeah, I sort of agree with both sides there. We can't tell people where to stand if they don't want to stand behind the goal, but "the Gandermonium lot" are not the only Sutton fans, dedicated though they may be. Let's not rely on one group of people to rock our whole crowd! We can all do it and I totally agree that we should try and lift our support. I've been quieter than usual this season because I'm not a fan of shouting in babies' ears, but she won't be there tomorrow so I'm going for it

On balance, I am with Nick the Greek in that people should stand where they want. I tend to stand with the crowd at away matches and sing more. However, before I started stewarding, i tended to stand by Roses at GGL and this is where I met many of the people I still like to watch matches with (I also think behind the goal doesn't provide the best view). Carry on with the singing at home lads and most songs are positive about Sutton rather than negative about the oppo which is refreshing. You will soon get more joining in but you can't force people to join you.

Looks like the melodica that made an appearance in the Stortford game might be making a return for this one, hopefully that helps!

My grandma used to have one just like it and somehow it ended up in my possession. Used to play the damned thing all the time. PS We used to sing, "We all live for a yellow football team." I still think it makes more sense than "yellow gander green"

At what age do you stop singing from behind the goal (or anywhere else) and take up a sensible vantage point where you can see what's going on ? There are no hard and fast rules but i would suggest you stop at age 12.

Was there a post that start of this that isn't here anymore?
But either way still amazed this thread exists.

We will have to cancel the singing anyway because Billy doesn't approve. Sorry, team. We'd love to give our full support but we're not allowed because the only acceptable way to exist is basically to be a clone of him. :-D
