I think the post you refer to was frakey saying he'd read that dos wasn't going out to sign anyone. I still think that's true but something found us. Still I'm sure you can put that into your "revolving door" phrase that you use every time there's a squad change I think you will find that the revolving door phrase emanated from Eastleigh fans but still very relevant over the years & has proved very successful. Urgh Eastleigh! I was more commenting on your use of it rather than where it came from.... Anyway welcome back Nicky. You're going to have your work cut out to get into our side but hope this works for us and you. Just imagine it's 2004 again....

Question for Mr Frake....
Assuming Nicky plays in at least one first team game, what is the record interval between one first team appearance and the next for any U's player ?

I can think of several players who returned after several years' absence - Mark Watson, Matt Hanlan and a few others spring to mind - but perhaps not after such a long time.

First if all, do we really need two threads for the dame topic?
Off the top of my head and if you include friendlies, maybe Paul Rogers. Would have to check though.

I can't believe its nearly 12 years since Nicky turned up to the SSC final eating a bag of chips in the back of Lewis Gonsalves, dads beaten up 3 door car. Its amazing to think the journey he has been on, he is a great player if not a little temperamental at times. Who would have thought we could play Eastmond and Bailey together in midfield - Awesome stuff
