Looking forward even more than usual to seeing a few new faces in our squad tonight. I shall be there bright and early! Indeed. In view of our injury issues I think we can expect a starting line-up of predominantly younger players. Reyon Dillon will be an obvious choice up front and it would be interesting to see Fleets partner him as the second striker.
As this is still officially a Knaphill home game, I wonder if we'll be playing in white. If so, COYW!

I'll take a punt at guessing our line-up for tonight:-
Shaw; Strange, John, Doswell, Spence; Burge (if signed/registered in time), Munro, Cooper, Fleetwood; Wright, Dillon
Youthful bench similar to Casuals in the last round.

With it now at GGL it probably changes the dynamics tactically in that Dos might be looking at a slightly more attacking formation than he originally intended (bearing in mind that, with a young team, it might have been injudicious to go too gung-ho at their place). I'm thinking that perhaps some pace down the flanks might the way to get some joy this evening.

Bailey? McAllister? still injured? Both still injured unfortunately, McCallister is probably a couple of weeks away whilst Bailey is shaking off a knock still. Even if both were fit I doubt they'd be selected for this match.

Ended 1 0 to us. Sam Doswell header.
Just seen that Godalming are still in the cup. Tooting beat them but fielded an ineligible player so the Surrey FA awarded the tie to them.
US and Merstham are through and Molesey v Woking and Whyteleafe v Godalming to make up the last 4.

For the first ever senior meeting between the two clubs Sutton started with a slightly stronger XI than might have been expected, including six first-team regulars plus Wayne Shaw. But it was one of the younger players who eventually broke the deadlock, Sam Doswell heading home from a second-half corner. Either side of that the play ebbed and flowed nicely with some last-ditch clearances and fine saves keeping Knaphill in the game, while at the other end Wayne gave us one or two anxious moments! Dundo, captain for the night, hit a post late on.
Not a match to live long in the memory for most of us, but Sutton are through to the semi-finals.

Knaphill were very well organized and played very well. Sutton were not special but I don't remember any anxious moments for Wayne who didn't have much to do thanks to our defence

Congratulations and good luck for the next round from Knaphill F.C.'s Two man army. We were made to feel welcome from the small group of fans behind the goal in the first half, which we appreciated well done. Till we meet again,Knaphill's two man army. COME ON YOU KNAPPERS.
