I was looking at Knaphill's twitter page this morning and I was wondering whether there might be a problem getting the game played. This tweet was a bit of a classic:
"Another game cancelled, sick of excuses from contractors who do our pitch. If I did my job that bad I would be sacked. Gutted, fed up." (my smiley face, not theirs!)

It's a shame to miss visiting a new ground, but it sounds like this was a very good idea and another good opportunity to show the advantages of our artificial pitch.
Let's hope the tie is settled over 90 minutes. With an 8pm kick off, it could drag on rather late with extra time and penalties! Of course, for those of us who live locally, we will probably still get home earlier than if we were playing away, but that won't be true for everyone.

Will be settled after 90 minutes either way as Surrey Senior Cup matches now go straight to penalties if level at the end of 90 minutes, so the winners should be known by around 10:15pm on Tuesday night at the latest

Can't go but it's a wise decision if their pitch is in a bad way.

That's news to me! Probably not a bad thing. Sarah, the "no extra time" rules applied when we played Walton & Hersham back in November so surprised you didn't pick that up then . The rule change can be seen on the Surrey County FA's website for all to see. Means that "I" for one won't have an even later return home after the game

Don't you check the competition rules before every match?

The Mighty Knappers are coming. We might have no song, we might be small in number, We might flood our pitch to bring on a sub at home games, but we are looking forward to coming to united, put the kettle on.

I would ware it,it's been freezing at pitch side lately, my nipples have been that hard i could key a car with them. I am glad there is no extra time, i missed some extra time and penalty's already this season thinking there was a replay i went home for my dinner and missed all the action, Doh. It will be a tough match for us, but we can play a good game of football if the lads have got the bit between there teeth. All the best from Knaphill F.C.'s Two man army. COME ON YOU KNAPPERS.
