Not really Amberchoc...............unless the Surrey County FA are clairvoyent as the venues for all the various Cup Finals were published on the 9th Feb ( see the Surrey County FA's website for a list of where they're being played )

You'd like to think that, in future years, the Surrey F.A. will ask us to host the final more often as we now have the 3G (or indeed Whyteleafe). It's been 3 consecutive seasons now at Woking.
Their website is indicating provisional dates of 16/3 for the semi-finals. Presumably then, with Godalming's agreement, we'll be angling for Monday week, the 14th.

Sutton actually hosted the SSC Final very recently with the Leatherhead v C Casuals final as well as U's playing Godalming Town.
he sf date has now been fixed for 15th March (a Tuesday which will please Delboy).

Probably the draw we would have hoped for out of the teams remaining. We still owe them for the Final defeat at GGL in 2013.

he sf date has now been fixed for 15th March (a Tuesday which will please Delboy). Yes, it was 2011 and 2013 when it was played at GGL. Interestingly, since 1997, there's only been one occasion when it hasn't been at either Woking, Sutton or Met.Police, and that's when we lost to Woking in 2012 at Kingsmeadow. In that period, Imber Court has been the most frequent with seven finals, Kingfield six and GGL five. The Surrey F.A. obviously need a decent playing surface, which probably restricts their choices, and I wonder whether AFC Wimbledon have had an influence in the infrequent use of Kingsmeadow. But I think the 3G at Church Road, Whyteleafe would be suitable as well. I've seen a number of games there - it's a fine surface and they have a capacity of 2,000, which is more than sufficient (there hasn't been a four-figure gate at the final for 10 years now, when AFC Wimbledon competed in it).

The 8pm kick off is more than likely the same as for the last match v Knaphill........the pitch has already been hired out up until a certain time

I wonder what the crowd will be? Here is a snippet from an article in yesterday's K's programme referring to their semi-final with Redhill in 1935.
"Kingstonian (last season's Isthmian League Champions) and Redhill (the Athenian Leaguers) are old friends and therefore it was disappointing that their meeting last Saturday, in the semi-final of the Surrey Senior Cup competition at Nunhead did not arouse more interest. .... The crowd was less than 1,000, far below the attendance usually associated with the County Cup semi-final."
