First one I thought of too... Another great player, we've been blessed with so many of them.

Great article - I love the advert not far below it... I can imagine "the ex-player" reading it and thinking "Hmmm, actually..."

......one of my favourite players during the late 60's, came to Sutton I think 67 and was one of that very exciting team of that era. Came to Sutton from our bogy rivals Enfield, he was an orthodox left winger a very exciting player, and was always amongst the goals. He was helped by another great signing at that time Peter Drabwell centre forward from Dagenham.

Terry joined us in 1967 and left in the 70/71 season, making 120 appearances and scoring 54 goals (34 in 66 league games). That's almost a goal every other game but, don't forget, he was a winger ! Of course, when your fellow forwards are Bladon, Mellows, Drabwell and Pritchard it makes for a rather intimidating front five. Galacticos ? Sid Cann invented the idea.
Peter Drabwell will be at the Eastbourne game tomorrow. He's a lovely chap and I'm sure would be happy for fans who remember him to say hello. We are expecting at least six players who played alongside Terry to be at this game. Stay and talk to them after the game, it's always fascinating.

And a third ! One of my friends at school was already a Sutton fan and kept on at me for weeks and weeks to go and watch them, his favourite player was Terry Howard.

I started watching the U's in early '68 and can remember many a cold Tuesday night watching Terry tearing teams apart

There's a chap that stands behind the goal at the Collingwood Road end that said he played under Sid Caan. Unfortunately I haven't seen him the last couple of games so i haven't found out his name. Hopefully he will be there tomorrow
