Here’s our league record over Dos’s 8-year tenure:
P 333, W 167 (over 50% success rate), D 90, L 76, PTS 591.
Two league titles, two 2nd places, a 4th, a 5th and a 6th.
Virtually unparalleled in the history of Sutton United (the only period that can compare are the years from 1966 to 1973 under Sid Cann).
We are not worthy!

Err, the Barrie Williams period wasn't too shabby either ! Indeed it wasn't. A quick bit of calculating shows that Barrie's win ratio in league competition during the 80's was 47%, but, to be fair, that did include three seasons at the top level of the non-league game.....and that will be Dos's challenge next season, pitting his wits against the best.

Not forgetting two league titles and one second place, one FA Trophy Final, seven Surrey Senior Cups, the London Senior Cup, three league cups and a couple of runs in some minor FA competition.

I'm glad someone's created a separate thread for Dos.
Where do we start with this guy? I must admit when he first got appointed gaffer back in the summer of 2008 I knew little about him, however I've built up so much admiration for Paul and what he's done for us over the past 8 years. The bloke's an absolute legend and I'm sure we all accept we're so incredibly fortunate to have him at the helm of this football club.
2008/2009: 5th (Play-offs) / FA Cup 1st Round Proper 2009/2010: 2nd (Play-offs) / FA Cup 1st Round Proper / SSC Final 2010/2011: 1st (Ryman Champions) / FA Trophy 1st Round Proper 2011/2012: 4th (Play-offs) / FA Cup 2nd Round Proper / SSC Final 2012/2013: 6th / FA Trophy 3rd Round Proper / SSC Final 2013/2014: 2nd (Play-offs) / FA Cup 1st Round Proper 2014/2015: 15th / FA Trophy 1st Round Proper 2015/2016: 1st (National League South Champions) / FA Cup 4th Quals. / FA Trophy 3rd Round Proper
Not a bad roll call that! (sorry about the colours)
Thanks Dos.

Dos is a great manager, but he hasn't finished yet, so comparing records is not really fair untill the fat lady sings which I hope will not be for a very long time. Dos has set himself the challenge to make us a sustainable National Premier club, something which all before in the prsent era have failed to do. I think Barrie finished his days here because he had done all her could on the budget available, and even that great man could not keep us at that level. If Dos can do that, and who is to say he won't, then we could be talking of where the statue goes Who knows where this jouney will end, but in captain Dos, this ship is in good hands.

I would say a simple thread can do nowhere near enough to show how much appreciation we all have for everything Dos has done for this club, which would not easily fit into this text box. I'm sure absolutely nothing has changed and will ever change about his passion and desire for the club's best interests to be achieved both on and off the pitch. His greatest achievements so far already make for fantastic reading and we've only really mentioned results and tournament performances there's so much more than that. The future is very very bright for both the club and Dos, who knows what lies ahead, maybe we have only seen the tip of the iceberg.
The words 'thank you' would never be enough even if they were said a thousand times.

Massive praise for the work he's done at the club.
This season he's not only rebuilt the side but also tactically tinkered the side in matches and for certain opposition.
That's a very tough thing to do but he constantly got it right. He knows how to win games and how to manage players.
Fantastic manager but also credit must go to his coaching staff who have shared his vision and put on sessions that have got all the relevant information into the players.
In Doswell we trust.

I seem to remember that after the Dover play-off defeat there were one or two rumblings on this forum (trolling perhaps) as to whether Dos might not be the right man for the job. Debunked in emphatic fashion I would say!

Just to say thanks to Dos, the team and all of those involved at the club for your perseverance and commendable commitment to the club (at all levels). This season has been especially rewarding for the fans. The first team have played with style, energy, belief, passion, commitment and togetherness which has been a real joy to see. The recent run of form has been absolutely exceptional. Looking forward to next season already. So proud of our team. Not felt this good since we beat Coventry!

I posted this on another thread, but worth reposting here - Dos's record in the National league south:
Played 207 W:101 D: 59 L:47 F:343 A:227 GD:+116 Points:362
Just think about how high that would be without last season. A stunning record - only Woking and Welling have a better point per game ratio, playing far less games.

A stunning record - only Woking and Welling have a better point per game ratio, playing far less games. Without last season, as you mentioned: Played 167 W:88 D: 48 L:31 F:293 A:173 GD:+120 Points:312 Points per game: 1.87 to two decimal places instead of 1.75 as it actually is That's provided I've done all the numeracy correctly. It matters very little, there's plenty of 'what ifs' out there but given that last season was such an anomaly for us under Doswell I think it's fair to talk as if it never happened
