Hi all, not sure this is fresh news but Louis John and United have parted company. Doswell said the defender's agent wanted to renegotiate terms... bad move.
Dos also has two players lined up as possible replacements for the departed Tom - both with League Two clubs at the moment, and he's keeping a tight lid on names.
Other news - Dan Wishart spent a week with Reading, but nothing has come of it. Alex Wall is doing well in training with no sign of a recurrence of a knee injury.
Er.... don't forget Fulham on Saturday at Gander Green Lane.

Agree - far from me to say, but United have stood by him through so many injuries....

Blessed is the person who having nothing to say abstains from giving us wordy evidence of the fact.

I applaud Dos for his stance.
Louis will no doubt get some decent offers after his England C display, but I'm not too upset about losing him. Tom's a far greater loss.

This may be a little harsh but going on what we know I think Louis is a silly boy. He's been here long enough to know how Dos works and the wage structures around here, Dos has stuck with him (at the expense of others) and he spent half of this last season on loan at a club at the same level and was recalled early because of injuries to others rather than him excelling. Add to that an agent who obviously is looking for a big payout, I think if Louis is wanting to further his career he's shot himself in the foot with this decision.
We did brilliantly last season because players gave their all for the team rather than just for themselves. If Louis has become a player where the one is much more important than the collective goal, then we probably are the wrong club for him now. I do wish the lad luck because he is a decent player, but let's hope he's not going to follow the Michael Boateng path of bad advice and disappointment leading to more and more wrong decisions.

Well that's good news. I rate Louis. Thought he was fantastic in the last third of the season. Dos is a shrewd businessman. Don't mess with him!

Great news! I thought Louis was someone who improved as time went on last season, and it's good to see he has reached the right choice.......

Hope it was entirely the agent's 'fault' for getting all this in motion because if Louis wanted to go elsewhere even a little bit after the contract was torn up then I'd rather that happened but hopefully he's completely committed to us as all the players should be, glad he's staying as long as that is the case!

Glad he's back, I think we have better defensive options, but Louis is up there and improving, and his departure might have meant we lost a bit of traction in our momentum towards progression

Agreed. We have a very experienced back line, but want to be bringing through talented younger defenders like LJ.
