For those (like me!) looking at some of the more interesting away trips, it's good to see that we get a lot of the travelling out of the way before the winter sets in. We go to all of Forest Green, Lincoln, Chester, Gateshead, Wrexham, Southport, York and North Ferriby before the end of November.

Note that on here we're playing Aldershot twice at home. The March one is away. Well done to the club for getting the fixtures up so quickly when the official source was breaking!

My guess is that clubs had already been told of the fixtures hence why they could get them up at 1pm as none of the sites I was looking at at 1pm were working!!!

Our first two away games are at highly fancied sides, probably the best time to play them.

Not a bad game to start with at home to solihull with both teams wanting to prove themselves.

Not a bad game to start with at home to solihull with both teams wanting to prove themselves. In the past we got away with a slow start, we can't do it this season. Hopefully the winning mentality will prevail this time.

A midweek trip to Forest Green Rovers second game of the season.......my thoughts drift back to exactly the same scenario in 1999 when darkness descended on us at half-time! That was so frustrating with us leading 2-1. It prevented us gaining any momentum after the useful point at home to Hereford and, to this day, I still feel that abandonment had quite a big impact on our season.
