Don't forget the gate receipts get split. We're going to benefit from it too. It's crappy for individual fans but at least both clubs benefit, unlike league games like Dagenham or Leyton where we pay even more than that and our club gets none of it. We cut our price to £12 last year and the year before in this round. £18 to stand uncovered a week before Christmas is a rough sell

You're right, I'm just trying to look on the bright side. We fans are out of pocket sadly but at least our club gets more per paying spectator.
Of course the flip side is that it might discourage said spectators from attending in the first place.

Things are pretty desperate for Aldershot at the moment - squad absolutely blighted by injuries so they’re having to “rest” remaining first team players for their replay at Bedford tonight.

Yes and we are playing them on Saturday week. A 7-0 hammering for Aldershot this evening, but I’m sure Dos and the boys won’t read too much into that. I imagine come the 29th they’ll have a squad that’s capable of being competitive.

They put their academy side out last night to avoid further injuries, so that scoreline is meaningless.

Did anyone see this news on Monday? I wonder if Weymouth would have reimbursed NM for their wasted trip (the game was postponed on Saturday) and stay overnight on the Friday. NM players couldn’t take more leave yesterday so the club withdrew from the competition altogether.

Wow, look at some of the comments on that. People are...not very happy.
