Following hot on the heels from Saturdays win at Slough, tomorrow night we visit National South newcomers Tonbridge Angels - managed of course by former-U Steve McKimm.
With emphasis at the moment very much on match fitness and getting minutes into the players I suspect we’ll see some rotation with the starting line-up. A couple of things to ponder - will we see Butler, Bennett, Barden and Eastmond feature having all sat out the Saturday’s win and secondly, by all accounts the trialists came away with good reports - I wonder if they’ll feature again tomorrow night (or at least some of them).

Am I right that Tonbridge have one ex-U in their ranks now. James Folkes? Defender we had in one of our Conference South seasons?

I am looking forward to this. Bringing a couple of friends with me so hopeful that it will be a blast.
Who else is popping along?

Sutton came from behind to win 2-1, both our goals thumping strikes from Aaron Jarvis. His second was set up by a piece of classic wing-play from some young whippersnapper called Craig Dundas.

Crossley Lema hasn't featured yet either. Yep good point, he played the full game last night at right-back and I personally thought he was excellent - good attributes, able to repeatedly bomb up and down the flank and looked like he’d been playing there years.

Someone tell the skipper to get some shorter shorts. The ones he wore made him look like a dwarf. Apart from that, no complaints so far!

Thought it took us a while to get going last night. Angels looked sharper but then this was their fifth match of pre-season so perhaps not surprising. The pitch could have done with a mowing too as the ball seemed to hold up quite a bit.
Looked decent in attack again. George Tosun is a threat but finishing wasn't a strong point and one assumes Will Randall, having been signed, means Matt G knows enough of him already. Dundo's cross for the second was brilliant and a great finish from Aaron Jarvis.
Another good work out for pre-season for both teams although Angels seemed to get the hump with the ref quite easily and levels of the dissent they showed would not go unpunished in a competitve match.
Second half 'keeper from Oxford Utd U23 and has played for Hampton & RB and Banbury United, presumably on loan.
