Third one up. Third one against a side the National South.
Obviously their side will be very familiar to us. But as far as I'm concerned this is another opportunity for us to try different combinations, to get match fitness up, watch more trialists and generally get ourselves up to speed. For those who want to frame this as a "grudge match" (which I've seen elsewhere), don't bother. We're not listening. The result isn't important but the aid to our preparation is.

I wouldn't call this a grudge match. It's Sutton Utd versus Sutton Utd Old Boys. And it's up to the New Boys to show they're better than the old ones. And for the Old Boys to show how things used to be.

It’s anything but a grudge match. We’re visiting a number of old friends, most of whom have given us outstanding and fully committed service in the past. I’m sure those that travel will give our old boys a warm hand, some a large part of helping to create some unbelievable Sutton United history. Not to mention Dos and Bairdy and everything they achieved for us, which has rightly been well documented. Should be an enjoyable day and nice to go there with zero pressure in terms of result.
