Just left club party at Euston. Match definitely off due to train disruption

Some at Euston were being told to go to Kings Cross and get a train to Manchester via Leeds. Decided against that and feel sorry for those who tried.

Wouldn't it be cheaper,in general,to all go by one coach? Surely cheaper than rail fares?

The supporters coach got back to GGL at 3.15. Over nine hours after leaving 😳

Obviously nobody can legislate for what closed the line today and other teams found themselves in the same boat. But relying on trains at any time for an important appointment is never ideal, and yeah, almost every away team at GGL seems to arrive on a coach. Takes away any jeopardy. No idea if a fine is coming our way, as much as it couldn't be helped, sutton(and others) could be accused of not making adequate plans

Sutton United arrive at most away grounds in a coach as well. That doesn't mean to say that teams did the whole journey in a coach. The coach either picked them up from a hotel or from a train station nearby. It really depends upon the distance involved whether the team goes by coach or train due to the fatigue element. Travelling away nationally is fairly expensive and even more so if they have an overnight stay.
That's why the club has launched AMBER 500 so if any one on here wish to help the club with away travel i urge you to purchase a ticket which is why it was launched.

I wish they did.

First of all l would like to thank Mark Kidd and Ray Ward for all their updates regarding the trains today ending with the Supporter's Club coach being held at Norton Canes services on the M6 Toll road for 2 hours with the Dagenham supporters. Before making the journey back to the ground. Would like to apologize to all the supporters who travelled today by what ever means in a difficult situation.

I work in logistics and transport. You can never rely on anything. I've had drivers stuck because of RTA's and they have had night out. Road, as well as rail have benefits and shortfalls. Basically, none of us can see into the future.

If (and hopefully when) 500 tickets are sold that's £40,000 towards away travel. No idea if that means overnight stays or not but the key is surely that the team travel in comfort. I know there have been occasions in the past where the team are changing on coaches, running to the ground etc. Vital that we give the lads every chance so if this Amber 500 helps them then worth its weight in gold/amber. Let's get this thing sold out.

Sometimes things work out well. Nice couple of pints at Kirkham. Quick one at the ground and then a great afternoon at the vinyl Tap in Preston . Who needs football 😃😃.

At least I still got to see a great Sutton performance today. Roxy Magic's set at the Boom Boom Club was awesome.
And yes, buy an Amber 500 ticket if you haven't done already.
