Lets see what matt says before jumping the gun ! Good point - I can't see how this is adding up yet. Keeper on dual reg (which means he is still a Sutton player) and an obvious reluctance for MG to change keepers yet we've got one on a 6 week loan for game time? Doesn't make sense that new keeper is here to be a sub in that time. Plus of course it's a loan player (which MG has gone on record saying he doesn't want). |

As a member (I have the badge to prove it) of the Jamie Butler fan club, even I would admit that Jamie does not have the aerial prowess in the defensive shield in front of him this season that he needs to make up for his own lack of height/reach in the exceptionally tall VNL. Hence our set-piece vulnerability, and the goals he has conceded appear to have affected the rest of his game. When the boss has waited until we are propping up the table before acting, I can see that he has no wriggle room if Ben were drafted in and found to crack under the first team responsibility. So yes, a good move to bring this lanky League keeper in and send Ben to get first team action a bit lower down the pyramid. Great win! Fingers crossed MG's luck has now changed! |
