Tough game, however I’m confident we will give Woking a good game and hopefully keep our unbeaten run going for a few more games. There is the possibility Wayne Brown could be included in today’s squad after his months loan with Walton Casuals has ended.
1pm start for this game and with parking limited an early start from home is advisable.

There should be a decent crowd for this one, despite the absence of public transport from London. Let's hope the A3 isn't too busy!
Woking's last match, ten days ago, was a disappointing 3-1 Trophy defeat away to Kingstonian. In their last home game, on 7 December, they beat Hartlepool 2-1 with goals from Dave Tarpey and Jake Hyde (Gime Toure replying for Pools).
Aldershot, Boreham Wood, Notts County and (in the Cup) Ebbsfleet have all won at Kingfield this season.
I don't suppose many of us will be visiting a pub in Woking, but for what it's worth my recommended hostelry is the Herbert Wells (51-57 Chertsey Rd GU21 5AJ), part of the JD Wetherspoon chain. There really isn't much else in the town, but this is one of the better 'spoons with around ten real ales on plus real cider. It's in the town centre, about a mile and a half from the ground (a bit less from the Leisure Centre car park).

Will be there for only my 2nd game of the season, but will be a roll of 4 on the trot, so can't wait to watch the team perform for the next few games. See you all at Kingfield. Up the U's.

I think we can promise Yeovil a slightly different experience to the one they seem to having today.

A few weeks ago it was Tommy Wright's return to goalscoring form that promised to lift us away from trouble. Now Omar Bugiel has taken on the mantle of season's saviour. His brace today, including what could be goal of the season, takes his tally to seven goals in four matches. Patience has been rewarded.
That first-minute strike, unleashed into the top corner from some twenty-five yards out, set the tone for the match. His second went in off ex-Bobbin shotstopper Craig Ross, after Tommy had won a corner on the break. We perhaps should have had more.
Woking's threat came largely from corners and free kicks, of which they had quite a number. Ex-Maidstone striker Jamar Loza caused us a few problems on the left side of a three-pronged attack, but their other two forwards, Dave Tarpey and Jake Hyde, both had quiet games. That, of course, is a tribute to our defence.
It's always useful to have a neutral's view on one of our games, and I watched today's with a Watford-supporting friend who lives near Guildford. He thought that Woking looked more like the side hovering above the relegation zone, and that Sutton should have no problem staying up.
There's a long way to go yet of course, but we've now got four wins and two away draws from our last six league games. That puts us second in the form table, below Barrow only on goal difference. The three points lift us just one place in the league table to 16th, but we're only three points behind Dover who are in the top half.
Next up in front of the BT Sport cameras is Yeovil, who put six past Torquay today and are now 2nd.

Wow. We always knew on paper we had the players and now they're just oozing confidence. Aside from us now taking our chances (and one more goal today would have taken us out of a negative goal difference for the first time since August) I'm utterly impressed with our back 4 and keeper. Not only did they limit a very competent Woking side (including talismanic Tarpey) to a small collection of half chances but have a real level of understanding between them all. I know Ben Wyatt was a bit of a panic signing and was expected to be a bit part player but I think out of all our young signings he's the one that's adjusted to this level of football the quickest.
We've got promotion form and sit 2nd in the form table based on the last 6 games. We've now got our toughest game of the festive period coming up. Get any sort of positive result from that and we're really flying. And amazingly we're only 8 points adrift of a play off spot. Some may think it's madness to talk of such things but if its confirmed that only 3 go down, we're currently 6 points clear of a relegation spot. Tight margins here but we're certainly heading in one direction more that the other with how we're playing and getting the results.

I have been quiet on here recently. Got fed up with all the negativity. A majority of those posting the negative stuff have disappeared from here almost as quickly as they appeared.
Nothing but credit to the squad for continuing to give Matt G great levels of performance during that difficult period and now getting the results those performances deserved.
Today was brilliant from the first 45 seconds to the last 45 seconds. Omar may have netted twice, the first was just quite outstanding, but credit to Tommy W who ran the hard yards. The back four and 'keeper were outstanding. Can't say I am surprised about Ben W's form. He showed on debut at Yeovil that he could cope and the more he plays the better he gets. Plaudits to Ben G & Loiuis J too - thought Ben G has grown over the past few weeks while Nik T adds more height and decent handling to go with it. Jon B puts in a shift wherever he plays. Unsung hero is Bards.
Easty was superb, although probably should have netted. But in truth, this was a whole squad effort as was the Wrexham victory.
Have to say Woking was lucky to have all eleven on the pitch at the end with both Diarra and Gerring in particular somehow managing to see out the match when on another day they both could have gone.
Top win but Yeovil will provide a step up in level of opponent on Saturday.

Yes another superb performance from 1-11 and Omar is on fire. I remember a Bromley fan saying Sutton must be desperate to sign Omar. I must try and fine that quote. 😂

Fantastic. Well done, boys. Keep riding that wave. Just six more wins and I reckon we'll be safe.

Absolutely lost for words . Not able to attend today because of family commitments and only got to look at the result when we got home at 7 pm. What a superb result and by all accounts a superb team performance once again . What a fantastic Christmas present , cannot wait for Yeovil on Saturday .
