Brilliant from the team and management. To get that return over a tricky set of fixtures with such a short turnaround is nothing short of fantastic. Well done all.

Can't start with anyone other than Jamie Collins. Everything a Captain should be - and the last footballer to bring a tear to my eyes, and to the eyes of a few others who had been at both matches versus Leeds. Today's performance was a fitting tribute for Jamie. Thanks for everything, JC.
Matt and the team can't do better than to send all the Sutton fans home happy at the end - and about 50 of the away fans home at half-time!
As far as I can see the advertising boards at GGL lack a demolition contractor. Perhaps a local firm will find U's to be suitable partners after this.

Five different goal scorers. Wow.

I really don't get the 'Two of our strikers can't play on plastic' that I've seen on the Woking forum.
'Can't' as in 'won't'? Or 'can't' as in 'not good enough to'?
Surely if you sign for a club you play when and wherever the club needs you to play? Be it on plastic or a rain sodden rutted field.

I've been looking back through my records to try to find the last time Sutton scored six times in a league match. I'm happy to be corrected, but I think it was on 10 February 2004 when we won 6-0 at Aylesbury in the Ryman League. (About seven weeks earlier we'd beaten Carshalton by the same score, a match that a certain Wales-based supporter remembers with particular affection.)
A depleted Woking side actually started today's game the brighter, but once Harry had given us the lead with a free kick that their keeper (not Craig Ross this time!) spilled into the net, it was pretty much one-way traffic until half-time. Five goals at the end where the visiting fans were massed meant that at the interval there was no doubt where the points were heading. We lost our shape a bit around the interval as both our wingers limped off, but fair play to Woking for winning the second half 2-1, although Dundo applying the coup de grace in the final minutes (after good work by Tom Bolarinwa) was priceless.
That's four wins on the spin now (with 14 goals scored in that run) and eight league games without defeat. We're now 12th in the table, and only four points behind Notts County in the lowest play-off place. The turnaround in form has been quite remarkable.

Dundo joins Macca and Pritch in scoring in three consecutive decades (without looking at the record books). Anyone else, Frakey ?
Press Sec adds Able.
Not a bad group to join.

I have just been on the Woking fans forum to see how they are reacting to today’s result and their awful recent run of results . Putting aside their understandable disappointment about today , they are now in the throes of player and management replacement discussions . Sound familiar ?
The thing that struck me was their hoping to get another nine points between now and the end of the season to avoid relegation , and they are still above us in the league and we are beginning to cast our eyes towards a play off play . How times change !
No gloating from me about today though , because what an awful footballing way to start a New Year .

What a stunning result to top off 4 matches in 10 days full of fantastic performances. As others have said this has been a stunning turnaround to the point of which points wise we're closer to top spot than bottom spot. We're also in the top half with a positive gd for the first time since August.
Simply put I think that 4 wins in our remaining 17 or so games will see us safe. And the way it's looking 10 or 11 wins out of those remaining games should book us a play off spot.
Aside from the top shifts put in by the players, huge credit as well to the management team for managing the squad in the most intensive period of the season. With a squad of our size that's a huge achievement!
Happy new year. And it really is!

I hear that Tarpey doesn't play on 3G on doctor's advice because of the Achilles injury he got at Barnet a couple of years back which pretty much killed off his professional career. Doesn't mean the medical advice he got is right though!

Another great win for Sutton. My only disappointment was that Jamie didn't draw my number out in the Amber 500 draw !

Fantastic! Cannot remember a Christmas run like it (though I’m sure they have happened!). Carry on like this for much longer and we will be losing our manager 😉
