A reminder that the centre-back poll ends on Thursday evening.
If we manage to complete our best XI line-up, I would advocate adding a substitute’s bench, because it would recognise those unlucky players who end up just missing out. The composition of the subs bench would need to be based on how many votes the remaining players receive, so I would encourage anybody who hasn’t voted to put your ‘x’ on the ballot paper!

I think the poll is about right, Jamie and Cloughie at the top of their games were the best center back partnership of the decade. Simon is unlucky to miss out, but I do remember Dos trying to play him as a winger at Tonbridge one year so maybe he could go on that list  |

Simon is unlucky to miss out, but I do remember Dos trying to play him as a winger at Tonbridge one year so maybe he could go on that list We should have picked him as a keeper! He's got a win percentage of 100% in that position! |

Voting ends tonight. After this one, I suggest we finalise the back four by establishing our full-backs. As they're fairly specialist positions, I would favour holding separate polls for right-back and left-back. To save time, however, we could do the nominations simultaneously, and I'll start those up tomorrow morning.
