4 games due on tonight:
AFC Fylde v Notts County Aldershot Town v Boreham Wood Barnet v Dagenham & Redbridge Maidenhead United v Ebbsfleet United
Wins for Aldershot, Daggers and Maidenhead will see us drop to 18th, albeit with a game in hand at least over all of them (2 games in hand over Aldershot).

Yes 5 of the 8 teams looking for points tonight currently sit below us. Will be an interesting set of results as it's getting serious at the bottom.

We've got to ask ourselves "do we feel optimistic about the rest of the season?" I think the answer should be "yes", and therefore we should be hoping for wins for Aldershot, Fylde, and Dagenham - with the fourth match being of no interest to us in the least. Can we get into a playoff position? Probably not, but this team can give it a good old go if we can just start scoring a few more goals.

Barnet v D&R has been called off.
It seems that the pitch at The Hive is in a right old state. Barnet now face serious fixture congestion.

Cripes, how many have Barnet had called off?
Mind you, that would be us if it wasn't for 'plastic'.

I've seen a couple of semi-serious suggestions from Barnet fans that they play some of their remaining home games at GGL!

We've got to ask ourselves "do we feel optimistic about the rest of the season?" I think so, our form is good and we saw on Saturday that we can compete with anyone in our league. That 1st 40min though should serve as a warning as to what happens if you are not 100% on it - You simply can't get away with it against anyone in this league. We were 2-0 down against Chorley earlier in the season before we woke up. Another interesting game tonight was Maldon & Tiptree 1 Romford 3 with new signing Scott Doe it looks like Romford will pull themselves into safety - I say when are the league(s) and FA going to get a grip of people like Tamplin in the game?

It was interesting listening to Dean Brennan on the Gaffer Tapes podcast. He has a lot of time for Tamplin and likes him. He says it's other people at Billericay and some players that are still there that are the problem. Worth a listen.

Never heard of that before but that's a quality name for a podcast!

Couple of surprises last night - Aldershot doing what most clubs have not done for ages and beating Boreham Wood and Maidenhead going 1 up against Ebbsfleet, only to be undone rather quickly and being 3-1 at home within half an hour or so. The latter is probably less surprising as Ebbsfleet seem to be picking up form, whilst Maidenhead have now lost more games than any team in the division. Along with Eastleigh they seem to be being drawn into a relegation battle with their current form.

Never heard of that before but that's a quality name for a podcast! It's an off shoot of the Non-League show podcast and started really with a long interview with our own Matt Gray. As its done by Dave Anderson who resides in the Harrow area most of the managers are local to there. He's done Gary McCann, the Slough boys, Northwood manager but episode 5 was Ian Evatt.
