I'm assuming it will be 3 down this season but fully understand that this hasn't been confirmed yet (not sure whether Bury have applied to join the NL next season - not that I expect them to be accepted if they do apply). We have 9 games to play with only one game against the teams currently occupying the top 9 slots - Boreham Wood. Chorley have 8 games left and can get to 50 points with 8 wins - safely predict they will not catch us. Ebsfleet have 8 games left but 5 of them are against teams currently in 3rd to 7th in the league and they are 10 points behind us. I would say 5 more points from 9 games should see us finish above them (our goal difference is +5 compared to their -22). Fylde have 11 games to play and are 16 points behind us. Amazingly they have not won in their last 13 league games (D6, L7). Again 5 more points for us should be plenty and goal difference should again be in our favour (-18 for Fylde).
We need 9 more points to equal our points tally in our first season back under Dos. Personally feel this will be a very good achievement for Matt Gray, considering he has started to rebuild the squad.

Another 2 points would all but guarantee safety but i really believe we should be looking up the table to see who we can overtake. With just 2 league defeats in the last 16 league matches and no outstanding teams anything is still possible.

Our run-in doesn't look daunting; five of the remaining nine games are at home and five are against sides below us in the table. For what it's worth, we've also only got one long-distance trip left and that's to rock-bottom Chorley.
All that comes with the standard caveat that there are no easy games at this level. But only a truly catastrophic end to the season could now put us in relegation trouble.
There is though a shadow looming over the final two months of the season and nobody can be certain that all the fixtures will get played. I assume that the authorities have contingency plans.

Just check out Eastleigh's run in - Notts County, Barrow, Halifax, Yeovil, Solihull, Stockport and of course us at GGL - infact the only side they play who are currently below them are Dagenham. Most of their remaining games are at home, where in recent games only Fylde and Chorley have performed worse.
This may be a bit of hope rather than expectation, but they could well be sucked in!

Both Ebbsfleet and Chesterfield currently look to have a bit of fight in them. Our final game of the season, away to Maidenhead, could play a role in who drops.
