They both have me in a quandry. Think the pitch action one is from the 80's and maybe Wexham Park. The photo does indeed show action from the 80's, although it's not from Wexham Park. We actually played the team in red in the early 90's during pre-season. A couple of years after we played them, the stand in the picture was demolished and replaced with a more modern one. Then, about three years after that, they moved into their new, swanky-looking stadium.

With those clues I think you're right. First time I ever went there was for a dog show!

That's Fisher's old ground. Docklands Stadium or something like that. Correct well done Nick. That roof design was the give away. Helps that a similar pic was on the cover of their programme.

Yep, that's right. I think I went a bit overboard with the clues!

Correct! Good work Frakers. Can't say I ever went there mind. Last time I was there the main stand was very dilapidated, more rust than paintwork. I made 4 visits to Green Pond Road watching Sutton and we never lost, winning 2 and drawing 2. If you use Google Earth and go back to 1945 you can see a very grainy image showing where the ground was, just to the douth of Green Pond Road. Inevitably, there are houses on it now. I still rue the grounds I never got to - Derby's Baseball Ground, Bolton's Burnden Park, Huddersfield's Leeds Road. And more locally the grounds of Romford, Hounslow, Cray Wanderers. On the other hand, I have been to 743 different grounds, so I'm not doing too bad. Chorley should've been 744!

Think that's Ilford's old Lynn Road Ground. Recognise it from the terrace but the club crest is a give away too.

I used to like going to Lynn Road. When I was small grounds like that, Walthamstow and the old Barking ground seemed like proper football grounds to me.
Ilford went from strugglers to title contenders with some notable signings. They had Mark Lazarus at one point and a (Dutch) forward called Adrian Eglitte I think. Did they also sign one of the Morgan twins (ex QPR) ? Peter Drabwell went there too of course, and Terry Howard. (I hope my memory is not playing tricks or Frakey will pounce !)
