As far as I can ascertain, the Greater London Women’s Football League Premier Division has been renamed the London & South East Regional Women’s League Division One North for the forthcoming season.
It's a tad confusing I know, but it appears we're still playing in the 6th tier (especially given that the London & South East Regional Women's League Premier Division is in the 5th tier) with most of the same teams as last season (accounting for relegation and promotion).
The only other substantive change I can see is that there are now just 8 teams in the division as opposed to 9 teams last season.
Please feel free to correct me if my understanding is wrong!

Thanks for taking the trouble, Trev, but I've looked into it a little further and the "Greater London Woman's Football League, Premier Division" still exists, with 10 teams, as does the "Division 1 South" with our Under 21s listed. That means that we are in a different League, so my question stll remains unexplained!

I thought the restructure meant at step 6 most of the teams we played last year are in our new league of "North", with some being in the "South". Who are the 10 teams in Greater London then, and which league were they playing in last season?

It seems as if the restructuring of women's football in the 6th tier is rather more complex than I thought!

brisfitboy, If you really feel it's helpful to repeat what's already been established, up the thread, try and get it right! Still would like an explanation as to how we came to be in the London and Southeast Regional. Come on Duncan, give us a clue.

I think confusion has arisen because although the FA's website states that Leyton Orient's Development squad are playing in the London & South East Regional Women’s League Division One North, SUFC's official website alternatively states that Luton Town Development's squad do... fulltime-league.thefa.com/Index.do?league=388619www.suttonunited.net/women/league-table/...so one of those league tables is wrong, and I'm not going to risk embarrassment by saying which one is the most accurate. I simply don't know, although I'd like to think our club knows better than the FA. Either way I agree with you, some clarification from someone in the know as to how/why this has happened would be very helpful...

I have just stated in which League each Sutton United team is playing. Sorry if I repeated some of what has already been said. As to the reason why the teams are in their stated leagues, does it really matter as long as they have not been demoted, and I am sure trev would still go and see any of the ladies teams if they were playing at home, or even going to Leyton Orient 🤣

A look at the fixtures shows us at home to Leyton Orient on 27th. September. I wish the Women all the best for the season and hope that someone might voluteer to keeep the website news up to date and respond, on their behalf, to enquiries and comments on this forum.

It's possible someone has simply transposed "Luton" with "Leyton" and made a mistake?

I suspect that's exactly what's happened, timall. Thanks for clearing up the Leyton/Luton discrepancy once and for all, silverf0x. You're clearly interested in our women's team's progress up the football pyramid, as am I. Why not volunteer yourself to keep the website up to date? I have no doubt you'll keep it up to date and factually accurate.. On the subject of women's football, I strongly recommend BBC's excellent fly on the wall documentary, Squad Goals, which follows West Ham's trials and tribulations in the Women's Super League. I'm a particular fan of their captain, Gilly Flaherty. She's a tough talking, no nonsense centre back and not afraid to speak her mind on a wide range of sensitive subjects. It's a great insight into the struggles that women footballers endure, even at the elite level of sport - they may only be on an average annual salary of £27k, but their passion for the game is second to none. The entire series is available to watch via the following link... www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/p08plv7b/squad-goals
