(PSF#1) vs. Eastbourne Bor’ (behind closed doors)

I’m aware there’s another thread regarding ticketing for the bar so that people can watch the stream but here’s the actual match-thread. I make it just shy of 180 days since we last played (back in March and that 1-1 draw at home against Hartlepool).

Eastbourne Borough kick off our pre-season schedule - one of five National South sides we’ll face over the next four weeks all sadly behind-closed-doors. Tomorrow nights visitors are already 3 games into their preparations for the new season so I’m expecting a tough test for our boys fresh from Saturdays inter-club training match.

I think we should be happy with the squad that Matts been able to retain and add to, look forward to hearing how new signings Bouzanis and Sho-Silva get on and no doubt they’ll be a couple of trialists as we do need a back-up keeper and another winger I feel.

Suspect that we may not have back-up keeper - to avoid extra salary - but rather bring a keeper in on loan if required. Wouldn't surprise me if as many as 4 of the current squad are loaned out to get game-time elsewhere. Would be nice to see a couple more come in so that there is (more) competition for places - but financial situation may not allow for that.

Not expecting much from Eastbourne Borough. I have heard they have had to release a lot of their contracted players for financial reasons.
