I am a bit confused here, I guess players and staff are going to work, so am I right in thinking it will continue?

What will happen to teams below us who are now allowing spectators ?

All elite sport can continue apparently. I read it to mean as we are not allowed a crowd that makes us elite...
All those clubs that currently do have crowds will have to stop playing.
Sounds barmy now I have written that!

Looking at it from the perspective of non-elite clubs, they'll now have to squeeze in 5 or 6 matches later on in the season. I hope we have a pretty dry winter or league programmes will have no chance of being completed.

If they have to extend the season until next October, then that's what they'll do.

The next round of the FACup could be interesting 🤔 Well it had already been decided that all FA Cup games were to be played behind closed doors so perhaps not!

Sounds barmy now I have written that! Presumably they're not considered to be going to work if they have day jobs and their football is just a supplementary income. Obviously that's also the case for several step 2 and even step 1 players, but that's where the line has been drawn.

To be brutally frank, I have no idea how this is going to work out. Am I now happy that Sutton are considered elite after watching fans being able to watch games in leagues below? Sutton can now continue whereas the leagues below can't.
Sutton Common Rovers v Sutton United could previously go ahead and have fans (unless you support Sutton United because we all know coronavirus is clever enough to know what team you support).
This can be summed up with a well used line from a bloke in the pub. It's all a load of bollocks.
I have a headache!

If elite sport is allowed to continue I assume that indeed means National League. Without going into detail that could mean some logistical problems for many clubs.
On another related issue, seen photos from Bognor v Tooting yesterday. Appears to be very little or no social distancing in evidence behind one of the goals at least.
Obviously not the first photos showing this and I am surprised (or am I?) that clubs allowed to have spectators have continued to be able to get away with this still.
I am not criticising the clubs because their resources on match day may be stretched beyond their limit but with Covid apparently running riot in certain areas, photos such as these aren't a persuasive argument to allow the current rules to continue post lockdown.

Incidentally Chesterfield have to replay their game against Stockport on Wednesday as they played an ineligible player (Jordan Cropper) in the first game. He's a loan player from Burnley and they didn't submit a copy of the loan permission to the FA prior to the deadline. Apparently this isn't the first time they've done this. Not sure why they haven't been kicked out.

It does seem particularly unfair that they're allowed to do that when nobody else is allowed replays.
