Hint #2 - the remaining three clubs are all double-hyphenated, or should that be double--hyphenated?

Well bugger my banana's. I best get my thinking cap on.
I work in transport and logistics, hence the reason I came up with Ashby-de-la Zouch. I was thinking of towns and cities.
Or is it city's?

No, and it CERTAINLY isn't banana's. It hurt me to type that.
As for brackets I can think of a few with locations in brackets such as Newport (IOW) and I think there are one or two with a formation year in brackets although I don't remember who off the top of my head.
However I'm pretty sure there is currently only one senior club whose name STARTS with a number - anyone?
(And I don't mean Two-ting and Mitcham, I mean actual numerals)

No apostrophe needed in "bugger my bananas", assuming you have more than one banana that is.
Talking about superfluous apostrophes always makes me feel like Michael Baker, Rory Kinnear's character in the criminally underrated Count Arthur Strong (one minute in)...

Blimey, I'm getting a bit of a telling off here and I was the poor sod who started the thread!

Sorry, I should have specified English. My turn for a telling off!

Darlington (1898) I may be wrong with the year though. You can never go wrong with THAT year. You know why 1898 is a good year? Because that's when Goodyear was founded. Fact.
