Second v nineteenth. I think if this match was on the pools coupon it would be a home banker! However we all know tomorrows game is going to be a nervy affair. What we do know is Halifax have a decent defensive record, just 7 conceded this season. Add that to our inability to convert chances into goals makes this a tough game. No prediction from me, just don't expect too many goals.

Lots of draws for Halifax but only 1 league win and that was first game of the season. Will Randall may come back from injury which should help us with our shape and let Harry go more central. Although we are well covered in other positions we don't have an extra winger as cover.

That was one pore peformance! No atacking freat and yet again free kicks and corners were so pore. Yet again Toby Sho silver has done nothing but having said that well done too the defence for digging in and getting those valuable points. “UP THE US”

That was bloody tight. Can't believe we went so defensive in the second half but well done the team.
I wonder if Halifax would like Sho- Silva back to help them score goals !!

Pretty thin gruel as far as entertainment goes, but we take three points and keep a clean sheet. Matt shuffled the pack after the drubbing at Wrexham, both full backs dropping to the bench with Eastmond and Milsom moving back to fill the defensive slots and Davis and the fit-again Randall starting in midfield. Unfortunately Randall didn't quite last 45 minutes and our other wide player Ajiboye didn't quite last 90. As against D&R and Wealdstone, we should have been further ahead at half-time than we were, Harry's early penalty giving us a slender lead. Visiting keeper Johnson did make a couple of good saves. Halifax offered little in the first half but began to look more threatening in the second, particularly after making their substitutions. We sat back towards the end and invited them to press, but our defence held firm. Still 2nd

The most heart-stopping moment for me was that Milson clearance over his own crossbar. If that was intentional then it was genius. Plus Town's shot on the turn that hit our crossbar was another heart in mouth moment. Not easy watching in the 2nd half, but I never expected us to be sitting pretty in 2nd after ten games. Exciting times.

The game reminded me very much of a cup tie. The underdog scores and then gets pushed further and further back with no outlet and defending for their lives.

Credit to the players for the clean sheet but we relied upon a couple of bad misses. We really need to be more clinical when we are in charge. We are clearly running on empty and Tuesday seems a big ask. I wonder if worth sitting in rather than the high octane pressing game might be in order. We seem light in the wide attacking areas.
