The Altrincham statement is very inspiring.
Nothing like quoting a bit of history to get you going.
🙏⚽️ And good health to all

Big week coming up for the National League. Seems we’ve voted for the league loans.

I think you will find that is old news as the league board has since dropped the option of the NL taking the loan.

Anyone know of any word from today's, big, mooted meeting? Black smoke, white smoke? No smoke...
Rumours accepted. Pure guess work not, please.

It looks to me like it has been set up to close out NLN/NLS if that is what those clubs want and continue the Premier division. Essentially you’d think resolution 1 will go through to have clubs deciding their own divisions fate, else NLN/NLS could be dragged into the league voting to continue the season in Resolution 4 because the Premier wants to continue.
All assuming the absence of last minute proper funding.
Have they stayed silent on NLS/NLN continuing to be suspended or not until decision made? You’d presume if they don’t play for 28 days then stuffed anyway!

The more you look at this, the more it looks like a can of worms.
Presumably the 28 days allowed for the vote is in accordance with the National League constitution. But could the NL Board or the FA not just declare the season null and void unless there's an imminent change of mind on funding?
As things now stand, clubs have to continue playing - and paying their players - through February. Can they all afford to do this?
If the clubs' decision is to end the season, that won't now be implemented until the beginning of March. By then, with all the rearranged games in February, most clubs will have played over half their fixtures. Does PPG then rear its head again? It was mid-March when last season was terminated, and PPG was applied then.
And what happens if the campaign for grant funding does bear fruit, but not until after clubs have voted? You could then have a situation where clubs get the funding they want to complete the season but have already decided to make it null and void. 🙄

Presume if funding materialises then there will be an opportunity for a different vote if indeed it’s needed at all. Maybe some legal requirement to work through but must be plausible.
I think re ppg I have seen a rumour asking about 66% or 75% threshold. If the league continues now of course at the most bleak time (or just after it) then it will get to season end.

Clear as mud?
If most clubs vote quickly to make the season null and void then the plug may be pulled well before the end of this month. That could save a lot of pain.

The only option I can see is to void the season. Woking is one of the areas affected by the SA variant , both our games against Woking are likely to be postponed. So even without the funding issues the viability of the season would be called into question. It's a pity it didn't happen before the Eastleigh game. It would have saved us lot of expense on travelling.

Given that elite football is an occupation that necessitates coming into close proximity with others on a regular basis, my personal view is that footballers and staff should be accorded priority in receiving vaccinations, to enable them to complete the season safely and securely. However, I suspect that such a measure may well prove beyond the collective wit and wisdom of the powers that be...

I think it will be the same protocols that have applied for a while, are there players with covid/symptoms. I also don’t agree voiding is the only option at this stage.

It’s a hard argument to make, certainly before over 50’s (even over 40’s) and frontline staff coming across far higher number of contacts in any case. Think the question for vaccine priority in my mind is ‘where will this vaccination be most likely to save a life’. Young footballers well down the list.
