Wealdstone have parted company with Dean Brennan which is a bit of a surprise considering he got them up last season. Wealdstone have been in freefall since we played them - they've managed 1 win since (against Weymouth) and only the woeful Barnet having worse form, although they are still in the Trophy. Perhaps they pulled the trigger too soon or maybe there was something going behind the scenes we don't know about. To me, this is less surprising than the sacking of Jim Gannon of Stockport last week which was just bizarre.

There's a thread about this on the Conference Forum. It seems that Brennan was approached by Barnet in December to succeed Peter Beadle. Talks broke down and Barnet appointed Tim Flowers instead. Things haven't been quite right at Wealdstone since then.
