The league is completely open now. Torquay looking unlikely now unless this run is their one blip. Everything to play for. Notts County benefit hugely if Dover result being disregarded. The way things stand, so would we!

But not as much as them! They get a game back and lose no points. Which could potentially cut our lead over them from 4 points to 1.

With regards to Notts County, Matt did say whoever finished above them would likely win the league. They have the best defence in the league but their attack isn’t as potent , so they are possibly more likely to have results such as today i.e lose 1-0 at home

Steady on we are not half way through our fixtures yet !
Yes a good win today & a welcome goal for Sho -Silva but we have to keep on doing it probably twice a week.
Watched Torquay tonight and they look a little one dimensional .They didn't strike me as potential champions. Stockport seemed to have lost their way a bit since changing manager. Hartlepool are good at home but don't travel well. Notts County could be are main challengers.

We can dare to dream. Another consistent performance. You can see why Matt wants to pick the same team each week. We're not getting the goals from Harry this season but his role is slightly different. What's pleasing for me is that goals are coming from everywhere. This is actually quite important. It's no coincidence that Torquay have faltered while Wright is out of the side injured.
All games are are important now but Tuesday looks like a big day to me. Win at Daggers and we are really in a strong position. Torquay go to Solihull, Notts go to Stockport and Pools go to Wrexham. Massive games.
There's a long way to go of course but I think we can all get a little excited especially given our current circumstances. Oh and I've just read this morning that the Government are hoping fans will be able to attend games again by May. Could we be at the game on 22 May v Hartlepool which sees us win the league? As I say we can dream.

I think a lot of us are struggling to keep our feet on the ground because although in reality we're not halfway through the season, it FEELS like the race is well and truly on simply because it's February and at this point a normal season would be heading towards its final stages. It's tricky to keep it in perspective!

Apart from the early defensive injuries we have been reasonably free from them.we must hope that continues. BTW the is a lot of love for Sutton on the NL forum. www.thefootballforum.net/threads/national-league-fixtures-20-02-21.22928/page-6

I think Matt stated in his interview about it being a squad game, we have got to this position before in either the NS or this league, and run out of puff, and that is what the likes of the BT presenters were suggesting will happen again.
There is no doubt we are good enough to win this league, but the key to actually doing it is going to rely heavily on squad rotation, and resting players at the right time, bringing fresh legs in at key times, like rotating Kenny for Eastie, keeping up top fresh etc etc.
