Much has been written about our awesome set of players and superb management team, plus our forward thinking board members, but let us not forget that the fitness levels achieved by our players over each and every 90 minutes this season are, I feel, largely down to the Leg End that is Craig David (sorry - Dundas). ALL HAIL DUNDO!

Anybody else remember going to a Surrey Senior Cup tie at the Croydon arena in January 2000? We were the holders at the time, having easily dispatched our neighbours from across the borough 3-0 at Imber Court the previous May (a lovely sunny day and an equally lovely result, clinching the SSC and Ryman League double). Unfortunately, our defence of the trophy never got out of the starting blocks as we slumped to a miserable 1st round defeat at Croydon, conceding two goals in the last 10 minutes. My programme from that day is the earliest record I have of Dundo in action. He may have been as young as 18 then, and came off the Croydon bench 20 minutes from time when the score was 0-0.
Croydon went on to win Ryman Div One that season and joined us on equal footing for the 2000/01 campaign after our single season in the Conference. By the time the two clubs locked horns at GGL for league points in October, Dundo had been establishing himself as a first-team regular. In the pen pics section of the programme, Tony Dolbear wrote “Another teenager, Craig Dundas, was signed from local football two seasons ago and has a bright future as an attacking midfield player”.
Attacking midfielder. Fitness coach. Legend.

Little known fact about Dundo (and those who know me won't be surprised that I know this), is that for a short while (I think around 2004/5 time, but not sure), Dundo actually played overseas. He signed for Cypriot 2nd Division side APEP (now 3rd Division). I think he was there a few months. I'm sure Dundo will be able to tell us more about his playing overseas days!

Dundo is also the only player I ever did the paperwork for (in the stand at Woking after the game) who insisted on reading every single word of the standard FA contract before signing.

I'm sure Dundo will be able to tell us more about his playing overseas days! Reckon we can do a big Dundo article when he becomes all time record appearance maker. Not long now, a few more sub appearances of the next decade and he'll have nailed it. And Dundo will still be playing in the next decade. Fantastic club servant. And genuinely nice bloke too.
