Beat Weymouth on Saturday and the pressure will be on Torquay to match our result against play off hopefuls Bromley. Going further, if we were to win the next two, Weymouth and Woking, then at worst we would be just a point behind Torquay leading up to the 15th and their game on the 15th is away to Stockport.

The game in hand is key. Torquay may or not drop points but to say that it is over and we only have the play offs to look forward to is indeed cobblers.
It's now in the hands of Torquay but this season has thrown up so many strange results I think that it is still all to play for.
I mean it isn't mathematically impossible yet is it?

So those who saying it’s the play offs for us, are actually saying that Torquay will beat Bromley, Stockport, Barnet and Altrincham (there last 4 games) You really are talking utter rubbish.

Do you think we will win all 5 of our games? We need to stay above Stockport to win the title.

The pressure is now on them and not us so much. Bounce back with a convincing win and its all to play for

I doubt any of the top 4 will all their remaining games. Anyone can beat anyone in this league, and this trend will go on until the last day of the season. A few more twists and turns yet in this amazing season for Sutton.

All is certainly not lost. Predicting results is something of a mug's game because of football's enduring capacity to surprise. Matt's message to the players must be that there are five games left and that if we win all five then it's highly likely we'd finish as champions. The fightback starts at home to Weymouth on Saturday.

It's remarkable that the team has done so well this season that a tight away loss to one of the - if not THE - biggest clubs in the league, broadly brought about by our own errors, has created so much disappointment. The fact that we have stayed with the pace for so long, and that it is far from over, truly is a wonder.
I don't buy the line that the team is out on its feet. We made plenty of running up to 75 mins and, although it wasn't vintage stuff, a loss wasn't looking likely. The retraction into our shells in the final 15 (plus stoppage time) seemed to be more mental, not helped by our best player having to go off.
As long as the boys can get on the front foot against Weymouth and Woking, I am sure we can grab a pair of home wins. That would mean we'd be, at worst, second, a point behind Torquay and four ahead of Stockport with 3 games to go.
I repeat - it is far from over. Matt will be hammering that home.

Notts fans have been quite complimentary with some saying we're the best team they've played. Ok, I know that's easy to do when you've just won a game that you expected to struggle in but is shows how far we have come. Until the sending off I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I refrained from posting last night just to make sure I was calm after possibly the most upsetting result we've had this season.
We lost last night really down to 3 errors, and even their first goal had luck attached to it. The second was an error by Bouzanis and the third was an error by Eastmond. So be it. Every team makes errors in a match, and we've capitalised on them (remember Eastleigh at home for example?). Last night we were on the receiving end.
Yes it's no "longer in our hands", but to say we've lost the title with 5 yet to play is ignorant to the extreme. No season is won or lost at this stage, but we have let our advantage slip. We can turn this around. Weymouth are poor, Woking fielded a side with 7 academy players on Saturday and are saving as much budget for next season. Maidenhead have very little to play for aside from pride. Hartlepool are beatable at our place, and the honeymoon period at Barnet seems to be fading away. This was always going to be our hardest game of the month.
Anyone who thinks this title race is over knows so little about football they are not worth listening to. Notts County were nothing special and I think they are going to struggle to get into the play offs.

I was too disappointed to post last night, but in the cold light of day and having seen many title battles, I am confident this one isn't over yet and we will see more twists and turns.
As for the match, I can't understand the tactics when they went down to 10, and it is not the 1st time we struggled to score again a side a man down, remember that Torquay 0-0? I don't think we needed Bugel, he had done his job, I would have bought on Kenny and pushed Beauts forward. As been said 3 individual errors from players that don't normally make them, but that is football and that is why the title race has a way to go yet - We have 5 winnable matches.

Anyone who thinks this title race is over knows so little about football they are not worth listening to. So you're saying people are not worth listening to because their opinions don't tally with your own? Your arrogance really does know no bounds. The facts are we are in mid table form against two sides who are absolutely on fire. We probably need to win all 5 remaining games, possibly 4 and a draw. If this didn't include a trip to Maidenhead I would be far more optimistic but, whether they have anything to play for or not, there are few worse places I'd want us to visit needing a result. Eastleigh and notts Co would be up there too, so it's a tough run yes, but we needed 4 points min from that trio. I'm sorry, but I think the title has gone. According to Andy I'm not worth listening to. Fine, I'm used to it. I would love to be proven wrong of course.

A bit harsh. The title has not gone, far from it. Sport throws (God I hope an apostrophe is not warranted there) so many ups and downs and let's face it, the show isn't over until the final whistle is blown.
My twopenneth.
(Probably missed a comma or two in there as well)

According to Andy I'm not worth listening to. Fine, I'm used to it. I would love to be proven wrong of course. Perhaps you think that. But the title race is only over when a side cannot mathematically be caught. We're 4 points behind with a game in hand, and there are still 15 points available to us. I stick to my point. If you think the title race is over in that scenario then I wonder why you even bother watching? Would you expect the players to go into training with your attitude that "the title race is over"? Would you expect the players to go "well we're mid table in terms of form so we may as well accept a play off place and not bother"? No. If we don't except the players and the management to do that, then why should we expect the fans to have that same approach. Maybe because you know all of the results of all the 4 sides going for the title already? Did you expect for example Bromley to lose at home to Chesterfield (who have terrible form otherwise) and then beat Hartlepool (who are on brilliant form). Did you think in 2016, when we were 15 points behind Ebbsfleet and having played the same number of games, that we'd go on to win the title by 6 points? Football isn't predictable, especially at this level. Who knows what could happen in Torquay's 4 remaining games? Perhaps a side plays them, parks the bus and gets a goal on the break? Maybe their keeper gets injured and they don't have an adequate replacement? Maybe they could lack discipline and one of their key players gets sent off and misses the rest of the normal season. If you think we've lost the title now in the position we are in that's your choice, but I would suggest you are in a minority of a couple of people who don't think we still have a chance. It's not a certainty by any means I accept that, but I refer you to my first line in this post.
