Exeter City for me (since 2004). Been to a few games...there’s certainly one I’d go to next season (fingers and everything else crossed).

Although I've been in Worcester Park for the last few years my main stamping ground (to which I soon return) is Forest Hill.
I'd always assumed that Dulwich Hamlet must be the closet team. But having checked it looks like Peckham Town. Dulwich's ground is pretty much in Denmark Hill, for my money.

Woking are my local club and I have been entertained there a couple of times by one of their sponsors- notably once when Omar scored his goal of the season after about 2 mins - had to be a bit quiet that day. Have to say I met Alan Dowson last time I was there and despite struggling a little with his accent he seemed a very knowledgeable and humble guy.

Kings Hill FC, Kent County League. 400m from my front door. Seen them twice. Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga has about the same size population as Kings Hill and the Sports Park at Kings Hill in terms of footprint is probably about as big as Hoffenheim's flash stadium. Can't see Kings Hill playing Chelsea in a few years however, unless someone gives them gazillions as I think happened to Hoffenheim (& why all other German clubs hate them almost as much as Leipzig)

Selhurst Park, which I live close to. I've watched quite a few Palace games over the years. I've watched a lot of Croydon FC too, and still make the occasional game there.

Richmond Kickers and have season tickets so watch most home games at City Stadium. Ground used to be the football (grid iron) stadium for the university of Richmond and had a capacity over 20,000. Bit past it’s best now and only one side is open but still get about 5000 for home games (pre-covid)

Adelaide United are my local club. I moved to Australia in 2017. Top league professional football but not the same as watching Sutton United..... Congratulations to the club on what they have acheived this year. I started watching Sutton United in 1985.

Sutton United indeed. 7 mins walk from my house to the Collingwood recreation ground gate. Been to Corinthian Casuals vs Enfield though in October when spectators where allowed only from Ishtmian League down. And I really want to go to Plough Lane when possible, AFC Wimbledon has a good story and is the neighbouring borough. (I was actually hoping to meet them in League 2 next year but they had a great comeback...)

What a great thread!
Although it has caused me to check (for the first time at nearly 40 years of age) how close my childhood home was to Gander Green Lane. A 1.8 mile walk, apparently...0.3 miles further than Colston Ave. Disaster!!
I now live 1.2 miles from Servette FC's horrible bowl, situated next to an out-of-town shopping centre and behind a flyover, in the SW outskirts of Geneva. It's a rubbish experience as the stadium (30k capacity) is hardly ever more than a fifth full. Servette went bankrupt after moving there in 2003, having relocated from the more sensibly sized (and grotty in a good way, I'm told) Stade de Charmilles. They are having their best season since then, however, guaranteed 3rd with a game to go...and a goal difference of minus 10!!!
I've not been since 2018 and wouldn't bother again (unless it was a freebie!). I was looking to go to some Swiss Cup matches at lower-league grounds but that'll have to wait until next season.
Other nearest clubs over the years, Orient being the most visited.
2002-03 Avon United (Christchurch, NZ) - 2.8 miles (defunct) 2003-07 Leyton Orient - 0.3 miles 2007-09 West Ham - 4.2 miles (Boleyn Ground) 2009-10 Cray Valley Paper Mills - 1.7 miles 2010-12 Tiong Bahru FC (Singapore) - 2.9 miles

Olympia Warriors
Tasmanian National Premier League - club with Greek roots - and an artificial pitch which is murder to referee on as I still do now and then - concrete underlay. So bad that their youth teams have been given yoga tuition and are only allowed to train on it once a week.
(And yes - the excitement and tension has really ratcheted up down under recently - on a par with Hillingdon Borough away in 1970.)

Sutton for me. For a couple of short periods it was also Apoel Nicosia/Omonoia Nicosia (as they share a ground) - you supported one or the other depending on your politics, and Pezoporikos Larnaca, which became AEK Larnaca.

Other clubs that I have lived fairly near to include York City (old ground, when a student), Tooting and Mitcham, Fulham and Brighton and Hove Albion (old ground). Also, I was born in Tottenham and had some family connections to the club. As a child I used to play with, the great Spurs and Wales winger, Cliff Jones's daughters as they lived in the same street as my cousins. Lovely people, incredibly scruffy house. Er, the Jones's, not my cousins.
I watch Fulham, very occasionally, as an old Sutton school friend is a big fan. Retrospectively, I would have liked to have seen York, back in the day. But that was the early '80s and I was plastered in make-up half the time. Might not have worked out so well...

If you discount clubs that SCR faced in recent seasons, of which there is a rash [Farnham Town, Badshot Lea, Frimley Green, Fleet Spurs] the nearest is Aldershot. I never visit that horrible ground unless Sutton are playing, and for our local Sunday League Cup finals. I grew up in Carshalton Beeches, GGL nearer than Colston Avenue (and I don't like Red shirts).
If I cannot get to where U's are playing and Villa are in London or the S. Coast I'll go there.

Banstead Athletic for me since 1997 ... 2 minutes drive or 10 minutes walk - been there loads of times when with Epsom & Ewell and then latterly with Sutton United Reserves and Youth matches
Previous closest grounds would have been: Until 1993 Wandgas, Racal Decca or Surbiton Town (Corinthian-Casuals would have been nearest Isthmian Club) 1993-Jul 1997 Bookham FC Aug-Sep 1997 Sutton United FC (lived in Mulgrave Road for 6 weeks whilst awaiting my current home to be vacated)
