Well done to Barnet. Better side on the day. Can't blame the players one jot for taking their foot off the gas today. As it turned out, we could have lost today and last weekend and still won the league.
Shame Dundo couldn't have scored our last goal in our continuous non league career. But hey. We won the league.

I guess that it will seem daft to most people - but I find myself feeling really disappointed that we lost today. In as much as last weekend's game was 'historic' - so was today's game - potentially our last game as a non-league club after 123 years. I do understand the thinking behind giving the fringe players a game - but I would have hoped that we might have had some of our 1st X1 on the bench so that we could change things if needed. I imagine that I'll probably be crucified for making this post -but as much as I'm as excited as anyone else about the new era ahead of us, I'm also very proud of what Sutton has achieved over such a long period of time as a non-league club - and it would have been nice if our final act could have ended a little better. I'm sure I'll feel better tomorrow. I understand what you're saying but quite a few players had knocks/niggles and Matt didn't want to take any risk of them pulling something and then missing pre season which is only a month away. With the title wrapped up it simply wasn't worth the risk.

The only thing that bothered me - and it didn't much - was that was the only game other than Wrexham away (which turned out to be a bit of an anomaly) that we lost by more than one goal, and it felt like that was a record we could've kept hold of!
Having said that, like others I can't blame anyone for having a bit of a relaxed one. Goodness knows they've earned it.
