A million apologies for the tardiness in reporting on SAK21, the final draw of this momentous season! My excuse is that it’s been a busy week!
Congratulations to Matt, Jason, the rest of our Management team and our fabulous squad of players for achieving promotion to the EFL for Sutton United, for the first time in its proud 123-year history, following Sunday’s emphatic 3-0 win v Hartlepool United. A truly amazing and history-making achievement which has sparked wild scenes of celebration and displays of real emotion from everyone associated with Sutton United Football Club, near and far. Just incredible.
The SAK21 draw did take place on Sunday but a lot later than its normal post-match slot for, I hope you will understand, quite excusable reasons!
There was £350 left in the safe which had to be won, so we kept going until the safe was opened.
The results were:
Ball 49 - Andy McVicar - safe not opened - £50 consolation
Ball 26 - Gareth Miller and Larry Slater - safe not opened - £50 consolation
Ball 4 - The Loughlins - Paul, Tim, Janice, David, Claire - safe opened - £250 prize won
And there ends the SAK initiative for another season. A huge thank you to all participants in this important and fun scheme - yet another example of how everyone in this club really is “in it together”…and now we are in the EFL together!
It has been a difficult season for everyone of course with fans hardly allowed in the stadium but, my how our team served up a treat for returning fans last Sunday! An unforgettable day.
This club’s values will always remain intact and, with your support, SAK will continue in EFL2! Do let me know when you can whether you plan to carry on in the scheme.
For your reference the following balls emerged from the purple velvet bag
33; 12; 49; 7; 42; 24; 3; 17; 36; 2; 36; 49; 5; 27; 28; 13; 6; 27; 40; 22; 49; 26; 4
The safe was successfully opened on 6 of those 23 attempts.
Onwards and upwards we go
THANK YOU ALL AGAIN
