I don't think it was ever played again, which make us still the holders. Does that mean we have done the double ? I think we won the "Fair Play" Trophy too, so a treble! |

The Bob Lord Trophy was played for until 2001 - Wycombe won it the year after us and the last winners were Chester City. Two sides won it twice in the intervening period, Bromsgrove and Doncaster, who have subsequently had contrasting fortunes.

Talking of contrasting fortunes, the last 2 runners up were Kingstonian in that original format. It appeared again in the mid noughties. In the 04/05 season we were dumped out 3 0 at home by eventual winners Woking, after knocking the bobbins out in round 1 and a rare win at Maidenhead. It went away and then came back for THAT 2007/8 season. We were knocked our by Bromley, natch. |

Hello fellow Oxfordshire exile. How rural are we talking? I’m in Banbury. I’m sure there’s at least one other board member now living in Oxfordshire. I live in Southmoor , half way between Abingdon and Witney. I used to work in Banbury at least once a week but now retired. I am in Bampton, about 6 miles from Witney and exactly between Oxford and Swindon |

Can't say about Crawley but we have a score to settle with Swindon Town, I really hope we go back on Dec 15th - 40 Years to the day : I was at this game but has forgotten all about it until now.Amazing how memories come flooding back. |

It may as well have never been played again  - although oddly enough until 2 weeks ago it was our highest "honour". Not anymore of course! |
