I see there is a new banner on the homepage. Whilst I understand and like the sentiment it portrays, it seriously looks awful. The resolution is all over the shop, the centrepoint is blurry (on my screen anyway, and I'm not looking at it on anything bigger than a normal sized laptop) and really looks bad. To me, it looks like a collage done at primary school.
Surely we want to give off a more professional look than that?

They have used a very low res image for the celebration image and the cropped images over the top just don't work and just looks too busy. When it comes to websites, unless you are a very advanced graphic designer, keep it simple. (All constructive criticism of course and not meant to be nasty to who ever has made the effort)

(All constructive criticism of course and not meant to be nasty to who ever has made the effort) You're right. There are two things going on here. The aesthetic of the image, which is a choice, is questionable and will appeal to some more than others. The technicality of it (the low res images) really isn't something that should be acceptable, regardless of the choices made. As the source material would have come from Paul L, we know there isn't an issue with the resolution of it, but to churn out this from that source material is shocking. I know and understand the club have got 1001 things to do to be ready for the new season, but someone created this, someone approved this and someone uploaded this onto the website. How did something this bad pass three different checks? This is our shop window and the first thing people will see, viewable by thousands, if not more.

Good to see the club have sorted it now. Not only is the resolution a lot better, they've improved the collage no end.
Hopefully lesson learnt.
