I hope this post is picked up by Davef and responded to. Regarding attendance at home games next season. AB implies that our attendance limit ( Covid aside) will be circa 4K initially. Does this mean that some/ all matches will be all ticket ? How easy will it be to get a ticket? I have worked out for various reasons that I can only attend 8 max home games - in fact I will probably get to more away games than home ones ( I don’t live close to GGL), so a season ticket doesn’t make economic sense. I will definitely attend the home game versus Salford and bring a friend who wants to chalk of a new EFL ground . Will we be able to rock up and get in on the 14th the two of us for definite?

In round numbers: hopefully nearer 4,500 than 4,000. Maybe nearer 5,000. A lot of variables still.
All matches segregated, so space for around 600/700 away fans. So, room for at least 3,300 home fans, maybe over 4,000. The same capacity will be available at the home end irrespective of our opposition.
It would be lovely to think we might sell out for a few games but that would mean doubling our average home support. That's what we are aiming for of course, but we all know numbers will depend on form after the initial period of excitement.
If it seems possible that limits might be met then the decision on whether a game is declared All-Ticket will be made by the Safety Advisory Group (LBS, SGSA, Blue Light services)

Just over a thousand, as Adrian Barry confirmed on Friday.

But with the new turnstiles and different way of counting crowds, they won't all be counted unless they're actually there, right? So in real terms that increases our capacity in a sense, as far as non-ST holders are concerned.

Sort of, but although only those actually there will be counted, in terms of how many tickets are available the total number of STs must be deducted first so that we cannot go over the limit. ie if the home capacity is 3500 and we sell 1500 STs, on any given day we can only make 2000 tickets available.

So in real terms that increases our capacity in a sense, as far as non-ST holders are concerned. It’s standard practice in the EFL to include ALL season ticket numbers in the declared attendance, even if a percentage of ST holders aren’t physically at the match. I don’t like it or agree with it, but it’s been the practice for several years now. Some clubs may also declare the actual attendance to the media or simply internally but the figures aren’t usually divulged to the general public. When my first team, Huddersfield Town, we’re in the PL the exact same attendance was quoted for game after game, technically a complete sell out, but there were empty seats scattered around.

What are the attendance figures in all of the newspapers then? It’s the gated attendance (tickets sold) and will include all ST holders, irrespective of whether or not they actually were at the game.
