Having had no interest in this previously who have the TV rights? Do they ever show live games? When is there a highlights package?

Sky have rights to show live games and also have a highlights show.
Quest also has a highlights show at 9pm on a Saturday night

As far as I am aware there is a highlight a programme on Quest which is on Freeview & Sky etc etc 2 hrs presented by Colin Murray on Saturday evenings at 8.00 pm ( ? Repeated Sunday evening??) I think Sky show the occasional League 2 game live but later on in the season when promotion places are clearer. |

Or is it because they're woke and vegan nobody dares to challenge them? |

The bottom line is you will be able to see brief highlights of every game Sutton United play and every goal for and against. Regularly.
As others have said, the main exposure will be on Quest on Saturday nights, normally a 2 hour programme, 1 hour on the Championship and 30 minutes each on L1 and L2. As a club new to L2 I have no doubt they’ll do a special feature on Sutton, quite likely at the first home game against Oldham.
Sky do show occasional L2 games live throughout the season, and I’d say it’s possible at least one will involve Sutton, again as the “new boys”, especially if they have a good season. Sky also have goals roundup shows for all the leagues on Saturday evenings and Sundays and also put highlights of each game on their website, usually about 2 minutes per game.
Then there’s the usual live reporting for every game on the BBC website etc, much more reactive than their coverage of the NL.

Looks like quest is on channel 12 or 114 in HD
Coverage starts at 9pm Saturday & Sunday, just a couple of minutes per match similar to the Vanarama coverage I would think.

Those are the Freeview Channel numbers, Quest HD on Sky is on Channel 144
Showing Times are actually 9pm on a Saturday Night and 10am on a Sunday

It'll be sad to lose the free mixlr commentary service, which has been consistently brilliant, but at £2.50 a pop I'll be more than happy to tune into the commentary for those matches I can't attend in person. It's the beginning of a new age...

Even without considering the Covid protocols that we still have to observe, this is just one example of a number of new/different things that we will have to get used to this season, including:-
Bar-coded match tickets
No smoking in stadia
A new website
Capped squad sizes
Transfer windows
