The absence of Easty's last gasp chance is a striking omission, no pun intended

I don't like the green kit at all.It just doesn't seem right.Three away league games and three different kits?Forgive me for not keeping up to speed as i have lots of other things to do but what is this all about? For decades Sutton United because of their distinctive colours, like Hull City and Norwich City for example, have hardly ever had to change their kit. It's all wrong. it's got to be a marketing thing. I think the rule that says wear your home kit unless you can't has long since departed

Fair enough but 3 away league games and 3 different kits? Forest Green play in Green/Black. The only kit available to us was Amber. Salford it was decided to wear the Black kit as a thank you to those who supported the Club financially and whose names were on the shirt. The reactions of the players at the end of the game taking their shirts off and pointing at the names was a reflection of this decision. Scunthorpe we wore our "normal" away strip. So yes 3 different kits in 3 away league games. Furthermore we expect to wear Amber for each home game, bar one. We will likely use both away shirts on a number of occasions due to colour clashes. There is an EFL rule requiring us to have 3 kits. Yes there is a commercial thinking behind why we want each to be worn, and sponsored, and bought by fans. But I think we have a general good record on how we treat our fans and sponsors with respect to the number of shirts we have had over the years, and the frequency with which we change the designs. (Anyone see Manchester United's traditional away kit this afternoon?). And of course we have a Board that is very approachable to explain, and involve stakeholders in those decision making processes too.

Its strange as Suttons home kit does not clash with Scunthorpes home kit. If anythung the amber kit stands out even more different than the green kit when next to Scunthorpes. Which raises the question, do away teams have to wear away kit when possible or was it just what the team felt like wearing on the day?

For me the "problem" with the green kit is that the green is quite dark and clashes with other dark kits (particularly blue ones) of which there are plenty. And it does not feel quite right when we play under the lights. I think that the club's traditional alternative colours of white were the ideal solution.
On a related note, whilst I am a huge fan of the 3rd kit colours, why is the trim yellow and not amber? That would seem more logical.

Furthermore we expect to wear Amber for each home game, bar one. Bar which one? Ah, I thought my "tease" would elicit a response, and was surprised it took so long to arrive. The short answer is we don't know yet, and haven't decided which game or the specific reason. The EFL gives each Club a special dispensation not to wear their Home kit for one game each season. This is usually so clubs can dedicate a specific game, or kit, for a purpose such as a Club Anniversary, or a reason such as promoting a certain charity (think how cricket has some "pink" days for breast cancer awareness, or similar). Current thinking is we will have a "Thank You" day for all supporters, and those connected with the Club that have helped out over the last few difficult months, and to remember those that are no longer with us and unable to share our exciting journey into the Football League. Instead of having yet another new kit we will likely wear the Black "Thank You" strip. Of course, as a Club with a Board always happy to listen, if anyone has any complementary ideas, or suggested fixtures, we are all ears.

So we do wear amber for every home game, unless for one game we have a reason not to.
The "thank you" sounds like a very good reason and a lovely gesture.

Maybe do what Newport did this week. www.newport-county.co.uk/news/2021/august2/in-memory-southampton/ Or something similar and remember Sutton fans who missed out on seeing their club reaching the Football League.
