Good news about Parking, 5 mins walk to the Ground. More details ASAP What size attendance do you expect for the game? Cup v Sutton United Parking Update 03/11/2021 Due to very reduced parking availability at the ground, to allow space for segregation, TV infrastructure, additional bar facilities etc. there will be NO general parking at the ground for Saturday’s FA Cup game against Sutton United. There is limited space for Blue badge holders, who should apply in advance for the limited spaces available at facup@hyufc.co.uk. ADDITIONAL CAR PARKING: We have however been able to secure additional parking at the following address: Nanaksar Thath Isher Darbar Trust Garib Niwaj Springfield Road Hayes Middlesex UB4 0LP The large car park is available on a first come first served basis, at a cost of £5 per car - Cash only accepted and to assist speed of entry the correct change would be appreciated. For those familiar with the area, the entrance is prior to “Goals” on Springfield Road. HYUFC

Capacity has been set at just under 2000 by the Local Council, more that the Oxford Game but a lot less than our capacity. Hoping it’s a sell out!

Apparently, the last time that a club playing its first FA Cup match as a Football League Club were knocked out by a non-league club was Wimbledon being knocked out by Enfield in 1977. Since then, 10 clubs have played their first FA Cup tie as a Football League club against a non-league club - and none have been knocked out. No pressure

The ref for this game is Sam Allison. 😲 According to soccerbase, he's shown 5 red cards across the 13 games he's officiated so far this season!

We still have tickets available for Saturday, and recommend buying in advance to reduce queues on matchday.

The winner of our tie (or both if a draw on Saturday) will be Ball 3 in Monday's draw if anyone is interested.

Surely one of the poorest grounds in the south of England. Shame as dorking had some TV potential, but Hayes is about as unattractive a tie as there could be. Just hope we do a professional job and move on to round 2 but it's got all the hallmarks of a 'banana skin'. Anyone else see the fat guy fall over the hoarding at the very end of those hayes highlights? Most amusing I hope you are referring to the “old” Ground? The H&Y Ground has the best GRASS playing surface in non league and way above. A cracking Stand and the rest of the Stadium is improving rapidly. We have been on the TV the last 2 years and this year…….it’s about time we knocked out a League Team. Remember visiting your ground back in the League days, it was awful, trust it’s been improved since? Anyway, hope you manage to obtain a Ticket and are pleasantly surprised by the Ground and the Facilities! I was surprised by the facilities, but not pleasantly so. Cans of budweiser, horseburgers with no cheese, the away facilities were in keeping with the ground and location. In other words, awful. I hope a Heathrow bound jumbo jet safely lands on your godforsaken ground and obliterates it from the face of the earth (with zero casualties obviously).

Any need for that? After all Hayes & Yeading have been through very difficult times and have been homeless for many seasons. Hopefully they’ll be able to improve things as and when they can, but I’m glad their football club has a ground to call their own and is still going. Good luck to them.

It's a very handsome looking stand, although if you're not in it the rest of the ground is a rather cold and windy place. Having said that, there is plenty of potential for development on those other sides so perhaps there will be a bit more shelter next time we visit! Quite impressed with the quality of the pitch, which we might take for granted at our current level. My only real complaint was the complete lack of ladies' toilet facilities in the away end although I will also say I'm not sure how the tea bar managed to run out of hot water!
