Tricky tie. Would prefer Dorking on the 3g as that's just down the road and don't fancy a trip to Hayes, although "on paper" Hayes would be the easier tie.
Great draw for Dos & Havant if they can get through a replay against Torquay.

Perhaps we can "Bend It Like Beckham " if we go to Hayes!

At least it's fairly local, whichever side wins the replay. There's a good chance we'll come up against one of our former players (Josh Taylor at Dorking W, Moses Emmanuel at H&Y).
Dorking are at the higher level, but H&Y are undefeated this season.
It will be a little strange competing in the Cup as a League side and at risk of being knocked out by a non-League club!

Brilliant draw.
On the road down the road either way.
Fancy a trip to the plastic of Dorking and dishing out a good old fashion whooping to Marc White and his army!
You can’t beat the cup at this stage and through to Rd 3.
👋🎈⚽️

A tricky draw whoever we play. I've watched the highlights of their game yesterday (looked like a terrific cup-tie that could have gone either way) and both sides have very good attacking players - but maybe not so strong at the back. Dorking looked on course for promotion to the National League last season until their season was cut short due to covid. I must admit that I expected them to run away with the National League South this season (their squad looks very strong on paper) - so slightly surprising to see them mid-table at the moment. Opportunity to renew acquaintances with Callum Kealy and Josh Taylor (and plenty of old rivals) - as well as a return to playing on a plastic pitch. Hayes are unbeaten this season with an almost 100% league record - and plenty of goals scored. An opportunity to renew acquaintances with Moses Emmanuel and Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick. You would like to think that if there is any EFL side that won't be complacent against a non-league side in the FA Cup it would be Sutton - and we can't afford to be. Both these sides look very dangerous going forward.

Given that there’s no prize money for the losers at this stage of the competition, it’s important Matt doesn’t fall into the trap of resting a host of regular first-team players. If we field a pretty strong line-up, and bench, we should be fine.

I think our second eleven whoever that might be is strong and not much between our first choice eleven whoever that might be. The Portsmouth game in the pizza 🍕 cup is exhibit A..⚽️

The history books are littered with instances of managers who try to get away with playing the kids and then they come a cropper, but in Matt I trust! (he deserves nothing less after the last 12 months)

Aren’t we too big for these grounds? And we can’t play on 3G rubbish can we? At least we have our excuse in early 😉😂
Half expecting a bump from somewhere as everything a bit too good to be true right now. A nice little couple of FA Cup wins would be the icing on the cake for the start of our league history. And it would be remiss not to mention that the cash up for grabs is still important for us and keeps the finances ticking nicely. I’d expect Matt will play the best team available to try and win the game. It’s the FA Cup, it’s football, so it might not be enough on the day as we know very well from being on the opposite side in these games.
Dorking would be a nice derby and would expect a sell out, not sure on what our allocation would be but maybe hard for everyone to get tickets and a first (and maybe last) use of away priority tickets in action this season.
