The boys looked nervous as kittens in the last 10 mins but they played some good stuff, showed resilience and got that first L2 win. Well done, all!
Btw, why did everyone (both teams)keep sending the ball out of play on the Collingwood Rec side? It was getting quite freaky at one point.

I thought our first half performance was poor today and so were Stevenage. Second half much , much, better and in control.
Playing against 10 men is really no different to playing against 11. The main difference is the team with 10 men tend to tire at the end of the game but Stevenage had nothing to lose by throwing players forward.
Really pleased with the three points but i feel it will be a tougher test against old foes Hartlepool on Tuesday and not the walk over we saw end of season. They seem to have adapted really well so far to League 2.

They certainly did, its all about confidence and now we have that first win and Tanto coming back the only way is upwards. Feels good to have our first ever league win and a shout out for the ever green Dundo, what a player what a top bloke, he should be beaming tonight. So proud for him and I think he goes into the records books now

It really is very different against 10 men, despite the old saying about it can be harder generally that’s just an excuse of not playing it well. The stats will tell you it’s easier to play against 10. We got a little nervous and probably tired due to lots of hard running and maybe a few without too many minutes behind them. Re. Hartlepool they’ve lost their away games. Beat them and we’re not a million miles away from them with a game in hand.

We have asked the EFL if they have records for the oldest player to make his Football League debut and they have passed it on to their statistician. So watch this space, or more probably a space further down the thread. We interviewed Dundo after the game and it's on the website home page under the video iFollow gallery heading now.

Dundas inspired Sutton to victory today and showed why he should be the first name of the team sheet with Bugiel as understudy now.

Historic win for the club, and we now seem to be on our way. We were missing four first team regulars (Beautyman, Bugiel, Davis, Wilson), mostly (I believe) for Covid-related reasons, and we then lost Barden early in the game through an apparent injury recurrence. But it has to be said that the players who filled in (Boldewijn, Bennett, Smith, Sho-Silva, then Kizzi) did the club proud. Richie Bennett scored his first goals for us, and Joe Kizzi's performance (including an assist for the equaliser) suggests that Jon Barden will have a fight to win his place back. The penalty incident and red card for their player clearly shifted the advantage to us, but we still needed to capitalise. Calm heads meant that we did so. A win on Tuesday (game in hand!) would lift us to mid-table.

We find our Dundo's rating along with the rest of the squad on 27th Sept - FIFA 22 I'm so glad that Sutton will finally now be in FIFA 22 but the annoying and sadly ironic thing is that the season after they get promoted EA decide that they will include the National League in the game. Still, it makes the FA Cup in it more interesting.

The EA FIFA 22 website doesn't list the National League as playable in the updated league list from 2 days ago (https://www.ea.com/games/fifa/fifa-22/news/fifa-22-all-leagues-clubs-teams-list). Some rumours still that Wrexham could be a playable team and listed within the 'Rest of the World' teams but they're not mentioned in that news story either.

The National League addition was reported by some news sites in July/August, but it turned out to be false.
